TO ELVIRA’S CLASSIC ADVENTURES

Turn back the clock to 1993…Bill Clinton was President, the Blue Jays won the World Series, and Jurassic Park ruled the box office.  A young horror host (why barely out of puberty I believe) named Elvira ruled late night television and became the Queen of Halloween.  An independent comic book company began working with the Mistress of the Dark delivering some brilliantly funny and frisky comic stories.  Creators from every corner of the industry contributed to her growing lore with stories and art celebrating the “sassy lassie with the classy chassis” including comic legends like Kurt Busiek, Paul Dini, Neil Vokes, Fred Hembeck, Dave Cockrum, and a host of others!  

It’s the 13th today – the “luckiest” day of the month and now the fiends at Dynamite are digging up the grave of these lost adventures and delivering them to Elvira’s fans with a beautiful custom Elvira Mistress of the Dark “The Classic Comic Collection” Omnibus!  This awesome tome of darkness is packed with Elvira awesomeness and is available in both a deluxe hardcover and an ultimate darkness edition signed by yours cruelly, Elvira Mistress of the Dark!

A bountiful bevy of talented creators contributed to these adventures. Known for his love of the macabre and the flirty, Paul Dini of Batman fame lent his hand. While this first volume also compiles the majority of the plentiful pages written by Kurt Busiek (Avengers, Astro City). Claypool head honcho Richard Howell (Vision & the Scarlet Witch) and Frank Strom also contributed writing. While on the art side, Tom Simonton is beloved by Elvira fans for his early contributions to the series, as well as John Heebink. X-Men fans will thrill to the lines of Dave Cockrum on stories, and Dynamite’s Vampirella fans will love to see Louis LaChance. Other stars inside include Dan Spiegle, Fred Hembeck, and Neil Vokes.
