Hi, we are Fondation LoLa, a registered Canadian charity (Charity Number: 758770812RR0001) with a mission to make education accessible to underserved communities. We’re building the first-ever community library in Righini, Lemba, Kinshasa—a place that will empower students and residents with access to books, digital tools, and workshops.

This project is deeply personal. The library is being built on the property that once served as our family home, a space filled with cherished memories. Today, we’re transforming it into a sanctuary of learning and growth for the community we love.

Thanks to generous supporters, we’ve already raised $9,000, but we still need $83,500 to finish the project. With your help, we can open the doors of this vital resource by December 2025 and change lives in Righini and beyond.

What We Need & What You Get

We’re raising $92,500 to complete the library. Here’s how the funds will be used:

• Construction Completion: $51,000
• Furniture Acquisition: $30,000
• Computers, Tablets, and Printers: $8,000
• Staff Training: $3,500

What You Get: We want to recognize your generosity! Depending on your contribution level, here’s how we’ll thank you:

• $10 or more: A personalized thank-you email and updates on the library’s progress.
• $25 or more: Your name included in a special “Wall of Thanks” displayed inside the library.

If we exceed our goal, additional funds will go toward expanding the library’s book collection and offering more educational programs.

If we don’t reach our full goal, every dollar raised will go directly toward construction and furnishing, ensuring we can continue progress toward completing this vital project.

This library will transform education in Righini, Lemba, and beyond. Located just 2 Kilometers from the University of Kinshasa, it will serve students of all ages, from primary school children to university scholars.

Risks & Challenges

Building a library in Kinshasa comes with challenges, but we’re ready to overcome them:

• Construction Delays: Coordinating with contractors and suppliers requires careful planning, but we’re leveraging local expertise to stay on track.
