Hi Hello, my name is Joost. A few years ago, when I was still living in New York City, I counted the plastic bags that I had in my kitchen cabinet. There were 324. This was a wake up call that led me on a journey to invent a new solution to help end the huge challenge that single use plastic bags pose today. 

Even though there are many reusable bags on the market today, they seem to have become the new plastic bags. Many people have them, but few people think to bring them. I learned that the reason for this is, because they’re a hassle: they’re hard to fold and carry, so people buy them, but forget to bring them, or don’t even bother.

This is why we created a bag that practically folds itself into a gadget so tiny, that it easily fits any pocket. So you have it with you anytime, so you can use it to carry anything: from groceries to gym clothes, to excess clothing at the airport. It’s a new type of backup bag, designed for the urban-conscious consumer of tomorrow.

Our bag folds up automatically when shaken. 

Cool, right? 

In the former version the handles needed to be tucked in separately, which some people found complicated. This is why we invented new inverting handles with silicone reinforcement that fold upward automatically when the bag is folded.

This way it’s no longer necessary to tuck in the handles separately, improving easy of use portability. In the new version (picture right) this problem has been solved. The handles neatly fold themselves, which is a significant improvement to the first design. 

The handle no longer needs to be held down with your thumb. Since the handles are inverted now, they fold up automatically when shaking the bag. This improvement increases ease of use and storability.

Step 1. Turn the bag upside down. Hold the small tag on the top case and turn it vertically.

Step 2. Shake it back and forth a few times.

Step 3. Rest the bottom case onto your hand. Drop the top casing down, apply the strap and you’re done!

Folding and stitching at the edge of the bag to prevent fraying. In the first design, the fabric at the top of the bag would start to fray, which did not look good. This is why we improved the design by adding a new folded edge finishing to prevent this from happening. With this new feature, the bag stays fresh and looks great for a very long time!

To increase comfort while carrying heavy loads, we reinforced the handles with a soft silicone coating, so the handles don’t feel uncomfortable to your hands. This reinforcement also forms the basis for improvement 1, which makes the handle fold automatically.
