FIENDISH  is an independent fantasy comic by Irene Strychalski. Taking inspiration from classical fantasy and ancient history, and merging influences from both Eastern and Western comics, FIENDISH follows a group of young men and women as they seek the truth behind a demon infestation.
  The first chapter, Demons, is an action-filled 50-page introduction to this mystery tale; and this printed volume will include 10 pages of extra content, a preface to the constructed language of Nunarsa, as well as guest pinups from Carlos Nicolas Zamudio and Ivan Pineda.
  And, as the 10K stretch goal has now been reached, that means the final book will be in color!!

   As a child, Kazimir was the sole survivor of a mysterious demon attack on his hometown of Dorvo. Years after fleeing the massacre, Kaz thought he had left his nightmares behind- until the same monsters resurface and kill again.
   Along with several companions who also wish revenge upon the beasts, Kaz sets out to revisit his past, uncover the truth behind Dorvo’s downfall, and hopefully put an end to the fiendish infestation.

  Hi, I’m Irene! I’m a comic artist, illustrator, and animation artist who started my career on pencils and inks for Deadpool Family in 2011. Since then, I have drawn backgrounds for animated shows such as FX’s Archer, done character and background art for Marvel television animation, and penciled and inked comics such as SILK and Edge of Venomverse.
  My lifelong dream, however, has always been to create my own comic. FIENDISH is the realization of that dream. I have combined my love for seinen manga such as Berserk, Vinland Saga, and Vagabond with my admiration for fantasy European comics like Sigfried into this project.
  I ADORE building worlds, writing mysteries, and drawing monsters. For the past three years, I have built FIENDISH to be a project where I can do exactly that. I can’t wait to share this world and the rest of the story with you! I’m sure you’re going to love Kazimir, Iskel, and Yeomi’s journey as much as I already do, and this is just the beginning!

  The first chapter is completely finished– that means penciled, inked, shaded, lettered, and formatted, with cover art and extra content- completely ready to go! Therefore there is no risk of you, my esteemed pledger, not receiving your book. 
  The largest challenge that I currently face are delays in production due to the global supply chain crisis, especially the paper shortage. Also, with the ongoing pandemic, shipping will likely take longer than normal, both from the printer to me and from me to you.
  As of November 2021, we are actively fulfilling the grayscale edition of the book, but have ran into some delays in the production of the color edition. However, the print file is already with the printer, and once I receive the book pallets I plan on diverting some IGG funds to get help me pack and ship the books to you ASAP!
