“Origins” is the 70-page continuation to the VERY successful first chapter in the FIENDISH saga, “Demons”! Filled with action as well as more explorations of the characters everyone met in Chapter 1, “Origins” will bring the universe of FIENDISH further to life.
   After mysterious demons kill their respective families, Kazimir, Yeomi, and Iskel set out to discover the truth behind the monsters. However, the burdens of the past weigh heavily as they venture forth; and they must navigate not only the dangers of the wilds, but also their place as outcasts from society.

  FIENDISH was created by Irene Strychalski (me) almost 4 years ago, as a culmination of my lifelong fascination with comics, mystery, dark fantasy, and ancient history. My influences include manga such as Berserk, Vinland Saga, and Vagabond; and also European comics such as Sigfried and Heavy Metal. With FIENDISH, I hope to show everyone the true potential of fantasy comics!
  While I both write and draw FIENDISH, the interior colors are being done by returning FIENDISH #1 colorist Carlos Nicolas Zamudio, while the story is edited by Michael Oden (The Embrace). This campaign also offers variant covers from Dan Plegel and Billy Bacsko (Goblin Girl), and pin-up art by Matt Bahr, Matt Yackey, and Dan Lawlis.

   With the production of Chapter 1, we ran into printing issues, which pushed a portion of our fulfillment back, despite us finishing all the artwork on time. That is a potential problem that I am going to pre-mitigate by adding extra time to the ship date in case of supply chain problems or printer delays.

  I am also choosing to hire a fulfillment company- Critical Blast, who has successfully fulfilled multiple other comics crowdfunding campaigns such as The Embrace and Kids & Monsters.  All books will be shipped in a gemini mailer within a waterproof poly bag to ensure safe delivery.

   As for the risk of the book not delivering- that is impossible! At the time of launching, the book is already 100% penciled, 60% inked, and about 50% colored. I’m in this for the long run- so come hell or high water, I’m putting this book in your hands!
