Awesome right? We’re calling it “Flashpoint: The Last Laugh”

We had an amazing cast and crew help bring this to life, but here’s the thing… We need YOUR help to film the FULL script! As you can tell from the title, we’re exploring the story of the Flashpoint Batman – Thomas Wayne.

 

If you’re unfamiliar with Flashpoint, here is a quick rundown: 

 

An alternate universe is discovered by Barry Allen when he travels back in time to save his mother from being murdered. His actions result in a sort of butterfly effect that rewrites the fabric of Earth-Prime and the Multiverse. The shift is called “Flashpoint”. 

In this timeline, Bruce Wayne is the one killed by a mugger in downtown Gotham, destroying the sanity of both of his parents. His father, Thomas Wayne, becomes the Batman, but without the moral compass. Driven to vengeance by the death of his son, he uses more brutal methods of taking down criminals. Bruce’s mother, Martha, cracks under the weight of her grief and becomes the lunatic criminal known as the Joker. 

 

SYNOPSIS

Now that you know more about this universe, here’s a synopsis of the film we’re wanting to make​​

Thomas Wayne is in his 10th year of being the Batman, he is established in his role – has made several enemies, but… a few allies as well. Harvey Dent, a judge in this universe, reaches out to Batman for help finding his 9 year old son after discovering he’s been kidnapped. During his journey to find the Dent kid, he reluctantly teams up with another vigilante in Gotham – Dick Grayson/Nightwing (We are doing our own take on Nightwing in this universe). 

All of this kickstarts a series of events that will force Thomas to revisit the pain of losing his son, Bruce, and come face to face with his archnemesis/ex-wife Martha – the clown princess of crime.

I know many of you have asked for this kind of fan film and now we’re ready with a script. This film will be created by fans and created for fans.

100% of what we raise goes into the film! 

STRETCH GOALS

$50,000 – Our main goal, a short film featuring Batman and Nightwing searching for the Dent boy who was kidnapped by the Joker. 

$60,000 – This will allow us to pull off more elaborate stunt work.

$70,000 – This will allow us to  build some specific sets (think Batmobile interior, batcomputers).

$85,000 – This will allow us to feature more action and do more VFX.

$100,000 – This accomplishment will allow us to feature more cameos and film at more hard to get to locations.
