Our Team

Ryan Jones, a visionary entrepreneur from Haysi, VA, is the owner and founder of Do Good Brands, a company dedicated to storytelling with purpose, the founder of CreatorCon and he also co-owns and founded Lincoln Road Coffee. With a profound passion for unearthing the untold stories of Appalachia, Ryan serves as the driving force behind our docu-series, “F O U N D”. His team’s extensive experience in documentary filmmaking spans over a decade, marked by a series of successful projects that have illuminated captivating narratives from various corners of the globe.

Ryan’s deep connection to the Appalachian region, rooted in his upbringing and personal experiences, fuels his commitment to this project. Having spent most of his life in these mountains and valleys, he possesses an intimate understanding of the region’s cultural nuances, its hidden treasures, and the challenges its communities have faced. This profound connection not only inspires him but also informs the unique perspective that our team brings to the series.

David Thompson has over 11 years of experience creating visual stories of all mediums for audiences, clients and businesses alike. His roots in film and media begin in the Ojai Valley, CA. During his time working in the film industry in and around Los Angeles, David called the town of Ojai his home for many years.

David has worked on a wide variety of content while wearing a variety of “hats” in the film industry, working on Marvel films (Black Panther, Venom 2, Ant-Man and the Wasp), Music Videos (Billie Eilish, Taylor Swift, Travis Scott) and multiple Independent Features/Documentaries, to name a few.

After writing, producing and directing his short film “Long Distance” in 2019 and his feature film,“OJAI” in 2020, David began taking on multiple remote post-production jobs, and soon realized that he could work for Hollywood and his freelance clients while living literally anywhere in the country.

So, eventually, he found himself in Virginia. He relocated to the foothills of the beautiful Appalachian Mountains in Bristol, VA. The move not only brought David closer to his East Coast friends, family and industry connections, but it allowed for him to branch out from his hometown and share his expertise with an even greater clientele.

Marketing Plan:

The marketing strategy revolves around short-form video content, featuring businesses and destinations as collaborators for increased visibility. In addition, FOUND plans to leverage written blog content and targeted email blasts to complement the video content. The series aims to launch an Indiegogo campaign and secure regional sponsors to support production.
