Short Summary

Hello, I’m a Chemist working in the Personal Care Industry! I have been working in Cosmetics, and Body Care for about 20 years.  During my time in this industry, I have worked on projects for major hair companies, and cosmetic brands – making products such as lipsticks, lip glosses, eye shadows, foundations, and anti-aging products just to name a few!   THIS IS MY PASSION! to create innovative and effective products for other brands and also for my own!

• The goal of this campaign is to raise enough money to expand the operations of my small manufacturing plant and to cover my overhead expenses for the next year or two while I create mind-blowing products that you could all love! 
• This is an important step in my life – taking that much needed initiative to build my small production plant into a more efficient and streamlined operation, which will certainly boost business income and presence (this kind growth can make all the difference)!  
• Though I am not a unicorn, I am motivated and ready to hit the ground running to build the next L’Oreal, MAC, or Estee Lauder – Except it will be TRELAWNY (tre-lawn-nee)!
• What does your contribution mean to me? THE WORLD!  I have poured all my heart and my savings into this project, but now I need assistance to take it even further!
• For all those female entrepreneurs out there, you know what I’m talking about.  Sometimes its not getting a handout, but getting a much-needed hand up, when the establishment says “NO”.

What We Need & What You Get

• I am seeking $400,000.00 of working capital to help in the support of:
• Marketing (strong marketing can build an empire)!
• Warehouse equipment (as a woman running a warehouse: equipment = efficiency)
• Manufacturing
• Production
• Another assembly line (this will increase output)
• Covering overhead for at least a year or two while I create a stable foundation.  That is not easy in this economic environment, but it can be done!
• What do you get from all of this!  to test new color cosmetics, and skincare before market launch!

The Impact

• The Impact?  I am building a customer base that desire cleaner products that are environmentally friendly, yet effective.  This contribution would help to sustain us until we help these new brands hit the market.  A great success story always begins with helping someone else grow!
• At previous companies where I have worked, I have had the pleasure of bringing projects to fruition!  
• I have created products for dermatologists, dentists, and even other startup cosmetics and hair brands.  Through all this I have seen those companies grow.  Lots of BIG PROPS to our female entrepreneurs!
• I think that like other chemists, when I walk into a store, I feel a sense of great accomplishment when I see what I have created sitting on a shelf in Ulta, Sephora or Macy’s.   Now its time to see new creations from Trelawny in those very venues!   

Risks & Challenges

• There are many challenges, and hurdles. Fighting to get to the top of an already saturated market, getting your products noticed, validated, and used by others.   Not to mention trying to get on Oprah’s must have list! 
• They say that the first two years are the hardest, and that most businesses fail during that initial building up time when finances are low, and lending institutions won’t help because of the risks of losing their investments.   While I have survived the first year and a half, we are down to that CRUNCH!
• But with this investment, I can operate with the confidence that I can pull through, building a client base and marketing my services.
