When Molbak’s Garden + Home in Woodinville had to close its iconic store in January, it left a void. So many asked, “What now? What can we do?” We didn’t have an answer at the time, but now we do. And we want you to be part of it.
 

What’s the big idea? 

We’re calling it Green Phoenix Collaborative at Molbak’s– a member-driven collective devoted to all things gardening, green and eco-friendly. Drawing from Molbak’s rich heritage, unwavering commitment to sustainability, and deep connections within the gardening community, Green Phoenix Collaborative (GPC) will bring something innovative and transformational to Molbak’s historic Woodinville location. Imagine stepping into a lively community hub filled with opportunities to gather, learn and problem-solve.  

Envision: 

• Pop-up shops selling fresh, locally grown plants and garden-related products and services.
• Expert-led classes and workshops where master gardeners, landscapers, designers and artists can share their knowledge.
• Engaging programs for kids and teens aimed at inspiring our next generation of environmental stewards.
• Seasonal farmer’s markets, festive fall gatherings and winter holiday markets.
• Solution gardens that showcase local talent and best practices.
• A community garden where you can grow vegetables, herbs and flowers.
• An online experience that connects our community via podcasts, classes and online programming.
• Workspaces for makers and innovators to build, create and grow.
• Cozy spots to sample local wines, whiskeys, beers and food.
• Overall, a place for the community to gather, learn and take action together.

Green Phoenix Collaborative can bring our gardening community together in amazing new ways. We need your help to bring it to life.
 

What’s the ask? 

To make Green Phoenix Collaborative a reality, we need to raise $2.5 million by May 9. We’ve already invested $1 million to pre-seed Green Phoenix Collaborative. We estimate an additional $2.5 million is needed to get up and running. $1 million will cover basic annual operating costs including utilities, insurance, maintenance, and other payments. The remaining funds will be used to hire a small team, create programming, establish an online presence and bring partners, vendors and other participants onboard to provide a unique and engaging experience for everyone.  This funding is essential. If we don’t reach our goal, your contribution will be returned to you and we’ll know that the timing wasn’t right for this new idea.

You’ll enjoy all the benefits listed above, plus free event and workshop tickets to share with friends.  

Innovator – $2,500
You’ll enjoy all the benefits listed above, plus your first year of membership is free.

You’ll enjoy all the benefits listed above, plus early access and special invitations to private events hosted by GPC.
