Although we love soaps, we cannot deny that sometimes it can be frustrating: they are slippery, not very ergonomic, far from practical. This is why we felt the need to make the cleaning experience with soaps easier and more enjoyable than ever before.

We have summarized the method of use in just 3 quick steps:

Open Handso and insert your favourite bar of soap. Yes, you got it right! No oddly shaped proprietary soaps. You decide what to cleanse your skin with.

Open the refill cap and fill Handso with a little water, just fill it halfway to lather the whole body. What’s better than taking a relaxing shower doing good to the planet?

Start massaging your body with Handso. In a few moments, you will be covered by the very fine scented lather, while the soft silicone bristles cleanse your skin in depth.

Handso is planet-friendly

Just encouraging the use of solid soaps Handso aims to solve some critical issues.  In fact, it reduces the environmental impact of transportation, the ecological impact of chemicals into the water cycle, and the impact of packaging. 

Keep in mind that liquid soaps need plastic bottles while solid soaps can be packaged with recycled and recyclable paper.

Fighting plastic pollution with smart-plastic products is possible. Simply by refilling rather than throwing away, you will save the planet from over 1000 single-use plastic bottles over your lifetime. They might not seem like many but, when you consider the number of people that use plastic flacons every day, the potential impact we can create together is huge. Weighing in at just 100ml and only 8cm in diameter, Handso is easy to carry and handle. It’s designed to be hung in the shower, thanks to a strap that is comfortable to use in any situation.

We wanted to overdo it and we decided to include in each bundle a magnetic wall mount for free. It makes Handso even more elegant and the shower extraordinarily tidy!

From the idea to reality

Designing is like starting an adventurous journey: you know where you start (the idea) and where you want to arrive (the product), but along the way, you must face obstacles and choose the right paths. Our design approach can be summarized in this sentence:

“We create products that can solve complex problems with simplicity.”

However, designing simplicity is not that simple!

We have made more than 12 prototypes, looking each time for the best solution to all soap users’ needs, by trying and trying again.

It was not easy to get here. Often the solutions did not behave as we imagined, forcing us to question entire parts of the project. Now we have reached the end of our design journey.

Handso has a well-defined form and functions. We have been using the prototypes daily for two months, and all the people who tried it can tell you they are very happy with the experience and results.

Once we figured out the final design, we decided to involve all the followers of this project and make them vote for the official colors of Handso! Our community came up with this beautiful combination of cold Aqua Green and warm Purple Plum.

Many people then requested to shave more color options, so we decided to unlock two more colors as soon as we reached 100k€, as our first stretch goal. And here they come also Red Lobster and Blue Whale.

Handso shipping

We are actively striving for a reduction of the environmental impact of our products. To help fight the global plastic waste issue we are taking action: we will phase out all plastics from packaging with the aim to be disposable-plastic-free!

Shipping will be charged after the campaign ends. Below you can see the estimated shipping costs based on the biggest regions. The situation of global shipping is constantly changing and so these prices may change a bit. The actual costs will be calculated once we are about to ship in May.

This table covers only the three main pledges. Additional add-ons may require additional shipping and will be calculated separately in the pledge manager. 

Some countries, mostly in Europe, will require VAT. When applicable, VAT will be calculated in the pledge manager and collected before shipping.
