Short Summary

My name is Raffaele Marchetta. If you know me then you know that my passion for creating in the film industry dates back to my childhood. For those who don’t, here are some brief bullet points

• Began acting at a young age
• Managed movie theaters where I learned the box office, marketing and distribution side of the business
• Studied acting in college among other workshops and mentorships throughout the years including (Paramount, Kathy Wickline, and the old First Stage Theater in LA)
• Created (written, produced, directed & starred in) award winning short films over the past 8 years. (Awards given from: Crypt TV, Nashville Film Festival, Boobs & Blood Film Fest, Hollywood Blood Horror Festival, World International Cinema Awards, Hollywood Horrorfest and more)

The past ten years of grinding and building connections have led me to write four feature screenplays. 

I would love to produce all of them but I had to pick one to start. The story for Heading East has evolved through many drafts to a film I now truly love and is extremely cost efficient to make. 

It’s simple and effective and will leave an iconic mark on the horror industry.

What We Need

Heading East will be an 11 day shoot. We already have a crew in place as well as locations and are finalizing the cast now. We will need 60K to shoot this feature. That includes post production as well. 

Looking at about $5000 a day shooting about 8-9 pages per day.

The video above showcases what was done in 3 hours with no money and little to no equipment. Given an actual budget, you can see the quality will be outstanding.

The Impact

After we distribute Heading East it will open the doors for more opportunity to produce my other features and series, 4 of which are already written and about a dozen treatments created as well.

This screenplay has already won awards through film festivals.

This is just the beginning.

Risks & Challenges

$60,000 is actually my safe number in case we go over. You never know what obstacles you may face whether that’s due to townships and permits or just natural filming obstacles that may require an extra day.
