Heartfelt Cycle Studio – Crowdfunding

 

Heartfelt Cycle Studio is the first Queer-Owned indoor cycling studio in Columbus, Ohio. Our focus is being on intentionally inclusive and community-centered. We began as a single-location yoga studio in Feb 2020 (just 44 days before having to close to the pandemic). Despite all limitations of our first year in business, our community thrived and we became the top-rated and most-reviewed yoga studio on Google in Columbus, Ohio. This new venture is our way of expanding the community and showing that this need for representation, diversity, inclusion, and equity is needed in the cycle community as well. Our biggest challenge has been having funding for the initial bike purchase order, and facing a different level of scrutiny from banks and lendors as a young LGBTQ+ entrepreneur with a social enterprise business model. In our events over last summer, we raised 10k collectively that was donated directly to individuals and organizations of underrepresented and marginalized identities. None of that money flowed back into the studio, but we knew one day the community would come back around to help us too. And here we are, expanding the heartfelt community. We’re also the only studio in town that owns two separate dedicated spaces where one is for yoga and one is for cycle. Follow along with our progress on instagram, @heartfeltcyclestudio.
