Story

If you have not done so, please watch the video above…

Dear friends, Our charities, Food for Life Global (FFLG)and Juliana’s Animal Sanctuary (which is one of the many FFLG affiliates), need your help. We urgently need your support to help keep the kids and animals smiling! Please take a moment to read the story…

I have dedicated 40 years of my life to helping those in need through Food for Life Global, building the charity from a grassroots project in a few countries to now serving in 65 countries. Last year, we reached a milestone of serving the eight billionth meal, and we are currently serving over 1 million freshly cooked vegan meals daily.

Food for Life Global has been a first responder to some of the greatest natural and man-made disasters in the last three decades, including the great Tsunami of 2004, when 50 volunteers served over 350,000 meals to survivors in Sri Lanka and India.

Most recently, our affiliates have provided hot meals to victims of the Russia/Ukraine conflict and the earthquake in Morroco and now an earthquake in Nepal. We are always on the front line!

Our volunteers have been first responders to all the greatest disasters over the last 30 years.

Juliana has dedicated 25 years of her life to saving nearly 1000 animals during that time and setting the best example possible for animal welfare in South America. She has been recognized by the National government of Colombia for her animal welfare, and her sanctuary is the only one verified by the Global Federation of Farm Sanctuaries because of the standard of care she offers.

Through the educational work Juliana does, hosting thousands of school children at the sanctuary every year, many of the top schools in the country now include an Animal Welfare club as part of their school curriculum.

Both charities have a robust education component, including plant-based nutrition, online vegan advocacy, volunteer opportunities for kids, and visits to the sanctuary where children get to meet the rescued animals and hear their stories.

Why this Fundraiser?

The recent economic downturn has affected FFLG’s ability to raise funds and maintain our capacity to support our growing network of affiliates, and with rising food prices, it is becoming harder to maintain our high standard of meals for the animals at the sanctuary. We estimate we need around $20,000 a month to maintain first-class operations. Our campaign is, therefore, aiming to raise enough funds to secure our future to the end of 2024 so that we can continue our important services and give us the breathing space to build programs and initiatives to maintain well into the future.

Both projects are 501c3 registered charities in the USA.

Risks & Challenges

We plan to invest some of these funds in more fundraising efforts to ensure our success.

Other Ways You Can Help

If you are not able to contribute financially, rest assured, there are other things you can do:

  • We are in need of pro bono marketing, fundraising, and advocacy assistance.
