The Film

Holy Trinity is the oldest Greek Orthodox community on the West Coast and we’re celebrating our 120th anniversary this year. Together with award-winning filmmakers, HarisGrant Productions, we’re making a short film about our story: where we’ve been, where we are today, and where we hope to go over the next generation.

• Holy Trinity was founded in 1904 and is a growing, vibrant community in San Francisco
• We come from humble origins: growing from an immigrant community to a 1,000 seat church covered in gold mosaics. This story is worth telling to capture our history and inspire the future.
• As one generation starts to lose more members there are incredible stories of faith and hope that are at risk of being lost – we hope this film will be a way to preserve them for the future.

Funding the Film

Making a movie requires a lot of hands and parts. This is how your support translates into specific aspects of the film.

1 Film Day (we need 5 film days for the full documentary)

• $2,000 – Camera and equipment rental 
• $1,200 – Director of Photography
• $1,200 – Sound Operator
• $500 – First Assistant Camera
• $300 – Other shooting costs

Production

• $8,000 – Direction/Production
• $4,000 – Editing
• $4,000 – Sound (Composition, scoring, sound design, etc.)
