Help Fund The First Disability-Led Sports Talk Show

Story

We want you to be a part of something larger than yourself.

Because we care.

About each other. Ourselves. You.

We need your help launching a web series on disability, sport and life.

General Idea

The show is called Inclusion. Our director, Ryan Wilson, will sit down with athletes — disabled and not — to discuss topical issues that face the sporting and disability community at large.

The shows will be 30 minutes in length, and will include entertaining segments to introduce you to new concepts and ideas

Who is Ryan Wilson?

I’m Ryan, writing from my heart. I’m the director of Team Trust Productions. I have a disability, and have produced films for clients, large and small, across the country.

I’ve worked with two of the largest national sport governing bodies, like the US Olympic and Paralympic Committee, in the world. I started and hosted the first televised radio program in the country that featured athletes with disabilities.

I have built relationships with people across the country, and it is my goal to share those lasting relationships with you. I want you to feel as connected as I to each other.

Have you done a web series before?

Team Trust recently produced one pilot episode, and have plans to produce many more. Besides the pilot episode, we have not put together a web series before.

However, we have the crew and relationships to do it, and to do it well. Interestingly, Team Trust started earlier this year, and we rapidly started working with businesses, nonprofits and government agencies across the country. For example, we were on a nine-city adaptive mountain bike tour across the southeast. It was awesome!

We help government agencies, like airports, tell the stories of how they serve travelers like myself, and we will advise on their ADA design and services. We have not released content from that work as of yet, because they takes years to assemble!

How much does a web series cost?

We have budgeted $7,250 for each of the first three or so episodes. That, if we’re being realistic, is VERY low budget. But this will cover production and marketing costs, as well as licensing fees.

Here is a line-item budget:

Crew: $4,600

Marketing: $500

Licensing fee: $1,250

Travel: $300

Locations: $700

= $7,250

As our show expands, so too will our budget.

Crew: $8,900

Marketing: $1,100

Licensing fee: $1,250

Travel: $1,200

Locations: $1,000

= $13,450

One show costs $7,250. Why are you asking for $100,000?

Because we envision this show taking off after the first three or so episodes. We plan to collaborate with businesses and individuals who have large followings already, and leverage their communities.

We don’t want to be prepared for only one episode. Rather, we want to be prepared for the next steps as early as possible.

Why should I give you my money, instead of giving it to companies that have successfully produced web series?

I understand you may feel hesitant about our abilities to pull this off. I get it. At the same time, I want you to look at the content we have produced thus far. We use some of the latest film equipment, and we are a very versatile team.

Plus, as I mentioned earlier, I have a disability. This show means a great deal to me, and I always feel an unwavering commitment to serving the disability community any way I can.
