Lance | O₂ shipments are set to commence in NOVEMBER 2024 ( October is for KS Backers). With a track record of delivering the Lance X 1.5 months ahead of schedule, our refined supply chain has proven its efficiency. We’ve proudly shipped 2,500 pairs to over 110 countries and anticipate similar success this time around. 

Our Story

Gonzague and Karim, from Paris and Lille respectively, met as young expats in the charming city of Brussels. They quickly became friends, sharing laughter and dreams over countless cups of coffee. Life eventually led them in different directions, but a shared vision kept them connected.

Karim ( Right ), an engineer with a passion for materials and industrialisation, and Gonzague ( Left ), with his sharp insights from working in insurance, often talked about how eyewear was becoming prohibitively expensive. It was during one of these conversations that the idea of starting their own brand took root.

In 2017, they decided to turn their dream into reality and founded Lance. Their goal was simple: to create high-quality, affordable eyewear. By 2018, they launched their first campaign on Kickstarter, and the support they received was overwhelming. Their vision had come to life, thanks to the many backers who believed in their mission.

Building on their success, Gonzague and Karim created the Hoolens.com platform in 2023 with the aim to disrupt the optical market. They proposed multiple services, including lenses, frames, contact lenses, and soon, a mobile optician service. Their journey continues to be a testament to friendship, shared dreams, and the belief that everyone deserves great eyewear and exceptional service.
