High Brightness Micro-LED & Binocular Waveguide Display

LAWK ONE has conducted research and development on a binocular display module utilizing the world’s smallest and brightest optical engine， which is a 0.13-inch Micro LED micro-display panel. The biggest benefit of this technology compared to monocular displays is that there is no vertigo when wearing it because both eyes can see the screen, so it is more comfortable, and we achieve an incredibly compact light-mechanical volume of only 0.5CC. Our dedicated team meticulously optimized the distribution of multi-level gratings, resulting in an astounding average brightness of up to 1150 nits and a 30° field of view (FOV) after grating diffraction. By turning on “automatic brightness” in the app, LAWK ONE will automatically adjust the visual brightness based on the ambient light, you can also set it freely through the APP.

LAWK ONE comes with UV380 lenses right out of the box, offering effective sun protection for a more comfortable outdoor sports experience. Considering the challenge of low light conditions on cloudy days or during nighttime activities, LAWK has designed these glasses with the option to switch out lenses, accommodating various usage scenarios.

Unlike the majority of AR glasses available in the market that feature full-color displays, LAWK incorporates monochrome display technology. This deliberate choice is driven by our commitment to providing users with an unparalleled experience during outdoor activities. In terms of current technological solutions, the brightness of full color displays in typical AR glasses on the market is around 500 nits. However, our glasses’ monochrome display can achieve 1000 nits. This is the superiority of monochrome displays for outdoor use.

Monochrome displays excel in achieving higher contrast, especially in bright outdoor settings. They provide more distinct visuals and greater color consistency compared to full-color displays, offering a more stable visual experience.

This tech typically activates a single-color LED or pixel, resulting in lower power consumption, higher display speed, and response time, compared to full-color displays, significantly extending battery life.

Additionally, full-color display requires simultaneously displaying multiple colors, which can be more stimulating to the eyes and easily lead to eye fatigue and discomfort. Monochrome display, on the other hand, only needs to display one color, resulting in less eye strain.

What is Binocular Waveguide Technology
