Introduction

Reign Burton is a seasoned actress and a Director specializing in Action, Fantasy and Sci-Fi Films. She is currently engaged in creating storylines that inspire writers’ creativity. 

She is of British, American and Native Heritage. Reign has received coaching from Karen Storms and attended Lisa Maile school for acting, studying under Tracy Frenkel, Stephanie Bowan, Pat Clay, Al Hubs and Kevin O’Neil and also Yvonne Suhor at Arts Sake Studio. 

Reign recently survived two major accidents that have altered her life in many ways and has had to redirect the way she does things in everyday life and also in directing and acting. She has however since then she has accomplished directing 5 successful films with 1 just completed and has begun writing short scripts, completing 5 scripts on her own since her accident. 

Reign has been working on this project since 2012 and it’s very much a passion project. This campaign is to find funding to make this feature film possible. She has gathered some amazing and creative people both behind the scenes and in front of the camera to bring this to life and just needs to raise enough to create this film and for distribution.

Contribution to this film would help Reign create a project that has a special place in her heart and also give many actors a wonderful opportunity to showcase their talents.

The Synopsis:

How the Idea came to life:

The idea of Mercy started back in 2012.  Mercy’s story originated from Reign’s love for vampires, werewolves, and the supernatural. One day, Reign had her normal weekend movie night and decided to watch one of her favorite movies, Underworld. From there, it inspired her to create and envision something different. She was inspired to create a project that fuses Underworld, Lost Boys, and Supernatural. This idea gradually grew bigger and bigger with more and more characters coming to life in this world of Mercy, making it what it is today. Mercy has so much potential to bring something new to this film genre and build a bigger audience. It will connect to many people in many different ways.

 The Synopsis of Mercy:

Mercy, a teenage nephilim whose mother placed her in a psychiatric facility, gets attacked by Eve, the original sinner, and her demon allies, but the girl receives support from a group of angels and a band of vampires who must venture deep into the fiery bowels of hell to enlist the help of none other than the Devil himself.

     Mercy’s Journey is one of self-discovery as well as dealing with depression and the darkness within herself. On the verge of death by her own doing, she finds herself fighting against more evil than she could have ever imagined. The vampires teach her how to defend herself; while, the angels show her how to fight with her inner light. Together they defeat the evils of this world…for now!!!

The Impact

I feel as though this project would be valuable to the contributor by being involved in a creative experience and they get the opportunity to immerse themselves in the movie making world.

This would be Reign’s first feature film after many successful short films. The director/writer of this project is an award winning screenwriter and just finished directing an award film with Dean Cain.
