MIMO C1 with a similar wheelbase to a bicycle, has much smaller turning radius compares to the long john type of cargo bicycle, therefore more nimble and suitable in congested cities.

Motivations & Comparisons

Traffic congestion takes up 1% of Europe’s GDP yearly, and parking alone can take up to 40% of driving time, 10% of CO2 emissions.

Personal mobility devices such as bicycle and cargo bicycle (with or without electric assist) offer alternatives to the conventional combustion engine vehicles. Considering well-to-tank efficiency, electric cargo bicycle can emits >1% total emission of cargo van.

However cargo bicycle has not been widely adopted world-wide due to several reasons:

Vision and Mission

We are innovators, designers, engineers, and change makers who want to make the world more sustainable to live in.

Engineer and founder Witono Halim spent years designing and researching various electric vehicles with Singapore and Germany universities since 2010. Witono founded a small, dedicated team to bring his vision of practical, low-carbon commute to life. MIMO products are designed to remove the barriers to seamless commute, and aims to reward the sustainable commuter with cost savings while delivering higher performance. MIMO C1 took more than 2 years from prototyping to visualize today.

We work very closely with our partners with over 20 years of experience producing bicycle and electric bike. Official production will begin in Apr 2021.
