It’s time to record my FIFTH studio album, and I need YOUR help!
The 5th studio album
Hi there! If you’re here, you probably already know me and my music (maybe you’re a ‘Usual Suspect’!). Or perhaps you’re brand new to me (a newbie!), in either case, WELCOME! It’s time to make my FIFTH studio album, and I am so excited. Can you believe it??
My name is Morgan James, and I make original soul music (and some of your favorite covers, too!). I made two albums when I was signed to a major label, and since then, I have made three more albums on my own –thanks in great part to my friends and fans who support me! Here is my discography — I like to keep very busy: http://www.morganjamesonline.com/music/
My next album is a return to my R&B roots! We have written 9 brand new songs, and have one classic cover we will be giving our soulful treatment to. We head to Memphis, Tennessee to record November 1st at our beloved Memphis Magnetic Recording! Check it out —-> www.memphismagneticrecording.com
I am so passionate about making new music every single year, and to do that as an independent artist I need help funding these projects. That’s where my amazing friends and fans come in. The funding and help I receive is invaluable: my music, videos and tours are possible because of crowd and private fund-raising, and I am grateful in advance 😉
What I Need & What You Get
- I am looking to raise $50,000 on IndieGogo. This money will cover ALL my studio costs and musician fees ($10,000), mixing and mastering the record ($10,000), arrangements ($3000), artwork/design ($2500), digital marketing ($5000), travel ($2000) and merch manufacturing ($18,000).
- You can contribute as much or as little as you want! You can make a general contribution, or select a perk or two OR choose a specific part of the process to support!
- If you would rather make a *tax-deductable* donation to my campaign, check out my Fractured Atlas page: https://fundraising.fracturedatlas.org/morgan-j…
Risks & Challenges
Being an independent artist is such an amazing and challenging thing. On the one hand, I have access to and personal relationships with my fans and venues, and I can do whatever I want with my music and videos! On the other hand, I am an analog gal living in a digital world, and making music costs a lot of money. I need to ask for help and support every time I start a new project.
Other Ways You Can Help
If you can not contribute financially THAT’S OK! I would love your help in other ways:
* Share this campaign link with others.
* Share my music, videos and social media links.
* Listen and stream my music and write a review on iTunes or Amazon.
