What makes us different?

At NAISU we believe that good quality ice is only part of the equation. The process of making ice is important as well. NAISU uses 304 stainless steel vacuum tumbler as the insulator. Not only is the vacuum tumbler better at insulating – creating far greater directional freezing which results in the clearest ice possible – it just feels better than foam or plastic shells that’s common on the market.

The slim form factor means you can pack a whole row of NAISU in just your fridge’s door. No messy musical chairs trying to reach the back of your fridge with the bulky foam based competitors.

By using 304 stainless steel, we make a product that will last a long time compared to plastic and foam – doing our part to reduce our carbon footprint.

Perfect Transparency

Directional freezing is the basic process that helps create clear ice free of dissolved gases and impurities. By using a vacuum flask, we achieved the greatest insulation possible in the thinnest form factor.

Using proprietary geometric design, we take the clear ice to the next level – crystal seeding. Inspired by the Czochralski method used to create pure silicon crystals for semi-conductors, NAISU creates auto crystal seeding that makes our ice extra clear. In fact it was so successful, the waste ice NAISU produces at the bottom is over 90% clear by volume – clearer than the ice balls produced by some of our competitors.

The technology culminates in a visually stunning ice sphere that’s as pleasing to the eye as it is to the palate. This unmatched transparency not only enhances the aesthetic appeal of your drink but also allows the true colors and hues of your beverage to shine through, creating an elegant and sophisticated experience.

Fast Freezing

With the auto crystal seeding technology, NAISU produces crystal clear ice as fast as 14-16 hours in our test setup compared to 26-30 hours required by other products in the market. Producing twice the amount of ice in a week if you’re diligently refilling it, or producing another round of ice for your last minute gathering.

Slow Melting

With NAISU, you can savor the full flavor of your drink from the first sip to the last. The high density and lack of air pockets in our ice spheres means they melt slower, keeping your drink perfectly chilled without diluting it, preserving the taste and integrity of your favorite spirits, cocktails, or non-alcoholic beverages. Easy Filling

Simply add water from the top to fill. A mini-funnel built into the mold helps with the filling process. Directly filling it from a filtered water dispenser or a swan neck kettle helps too. All the ice we’ve shown in this campaign were used with filtered water direct from the tap in Singapore. For regions with hard water, reverse osmosis water or pre-treating with water softeners may help.

Frost wedge ejection technology

Frost Wedge Ejection technology self ejects the mold from the tumbler, aiding removal, especially if NAISU N1 was left in the freezer for extended periods.

Easiest to remove design

Tapered tumbler design improves grip on the tumbler regardless of hand size. Extra large handles on the silicone mold makes it easy to wrench the mold out of the tumbler, even if it was left in the freezer for longer than 24 hours.

We’ve invested significantly in tooling and manufacturing for the weld-less tumbler design. The entire tumbler shows no welding seams within the cavity – a feature that eludes even very popular and expensive tumblers in the market. This results in the lowest surface area for the ice to adhere to, helping with the removal process.

Development process

NAISU N1 started its development in mid 2023

V1.3 version of NAISU N1 featuring a central funnel design and center pull handle. We have made several iterations of the product. Using 3D printing to test and refine the design. Testing different configurations, material thicknesses and geometry to end up with the production iteration.

We ended up with this production variant after several rounds of testing.
