Our Past

Gamers Rush opened it’s first physical store in Warracknabeal, Victoria, Australia back in 2019 and provided Gaming and IT services to the residents. Also running events like Movie Nights for families, Gaming nights for Kids with Autism and Special Needs, Young Adults and Families alike, Gamers Rush provided an essential social event service to the region for kids and families who had nowhere else to go to have fun.

Unfortunately, due to COVID and lockdowns lasting over 10 months, Gamers Rush was forced to close it’s doors and go Online Only to rebuild and try to get into a new physical store which we have yet to do. With your help, we can make it happen.

Help us get into a new Physical Store opportunity in Horsham, Victoria, Australia (a country town) where we can provide Gaming and IT Services to the region like never before!

Getting into this store will allow us to provide gaming and social events for Kids with Autism and Special Needs, Young Adults and Adults Alike.

It will also allow us to re-start our IT Services to help those with a lack of IT knowledge to service and repair their Desktop PC’s, Laptops, Phones and Tablets. From System Re-installs, Software and Hardware repairs as well as Training and Education on how to use devices and how to be aware of scams. It is a necessity for the majority of the vulnerable disables and elderly population in our region who have nowhere else to go.

What We Need & How it Will Be Used.

• Seeking $150,000 Australian Dollars for Physical Store Startup and Running Costs
• $24,000 AUD to be used for first two years rent
• $18,000 AUD to be used for first two years of outgoings (insurance, electricity, gas, water, internet, bills)
• $48,000 to be used to hire two additional staff members full time.
• $10,000 to be used on displays, tables, chairs, furniture required for stock, play area etc
• $20,000 to be used on additional stock to complement our own with newer stock of various items to help keep store relevant
• $10,000 to be used to acquire new distributors from USA and Japan using our International Staff.
• $20,000 remaining will be used in an interest account to gain interest and serve as an emergency fund should the store fall on hard times after the first two years funds have been used.

What You Get

Our aim is to reach profitability within the first 6-12 months. Remember that we do have a running Online Store and we are not a completely new startup, so we will reach profitable sooner rather than later. After the first 6 months should we be somewhat profitable, our aim is to repay all backers what they donated to us. At least those who wish to be repaid.

• All backers will be repaid one by one at some point starting after the first 6 months from opening day has passed. All backers understand however that should our store fail and close, Gamers Rush will not be liable for any repayments.
• All backers will have their names on a wall we shall have made in store as a thank you for your support and for every patron to see who was a part of helping us achieve this goal for the community.
• All backers of $10 or more will get a 10% Discount code to use or gift as a thank you for backing our campaign.
• All backers will get access to our videos, live streams, discord and other updates as we go through getting the shop ready for opening, the opening day and events we run throughout the future.
• All backers of $20 or above will be automatically entered into a monthly draw for backers only to win prizes each month. They can choose to keep or donate the prize to a friend or local patron. Prizes include (but not limited to), Booster Boxes, Single Cards, Trial Decks, Board Games, Figurines, Model Kits, Gift Cards and any other item we choose from our stock.

The Impact

The impact of our social events and IT support is massive. Many people in the regional country town we operate in resort to being introverts and shutting themselves up in their homes or rooms. A great deal suffer from lack of friendships, socializing in person and having fun. We provide a safe and family oriented environment for all ages to come and have fun and de-stress.

We also give Elderly and those with lack of knowledge a place to come and get help with all their IT concerns and problems. Providing clear, precise and understandable guides and information to help ensure they are kept safe throughout their future usage of devices they don’t fully understand.

Having helped many adults and elderly in the past through our first physical store, we wish to expand on that with the new store.

We provide daily walks and Pokemon Go events to maintain the health of all our community members especially those suffering from obesity and diabetes. Our walks have helped many including Gamers Rush Founder Pete lose weight, avoid blood clots and gain control of Diabetes.

While we’ve been closed, kids and adults who frequented our store have gone back to old routines, this is why it is imperative that we push forward to make this new store happen once more!

Risks & Challenges

Like any business, there are risks and challenges. We have to compete in a tight market especially on the online side of things. Thankfully, the retail physical side we would be the only store offering the wide variety of products we offer that other stores only offer a fraction of. We believe we will be successful very fast.

The challenges faced ahead are mainly securing the funding to get into this opportunity fast enough. With our already growing online store community and the Horsham and Regional communities for gaming, we believe we have minimal risks here.
