My journey with split keyboards began when I was battling wrist pain and lower back discomfort. The search for an attractive and accessible split keyboard led nowhere and sparked the idea for this project. 

Today, most people continue to use traditional keyboards, unaware of the health risks they pose. Despite innovations in ergonomic design, they have remained out of reach for many due to their high cost and steep learning curve.

Our goal is ambitious but clear: to move split keyboards from a niche to a mainstream choice. To achieve this, we need to invest in creating molds and enhancing production efficiency, steps essential for ensuring affordability and ongoing product refinement. This approach obviously requires a lot of investment.

Risks and challenges

During the first mass production of hardware, there are often a variety of problems. However, we have done, are doing, and will do our best to ensure on-time delivery. We will not betray your precious trust.
1. Proven prototypes: We have successfully produced 20 prototypes and finished the DFM (Design for Manufacturing) with our suppliers. We have also sent several samples to our Youtuber partners around the world, and received their review and appreciation. This means that we don’t need to make any major adjustments to the product design, either for production or functionality.
2. Reliable suppliers: 4 members of the team are based in China and will be involved in factory supervision. One member, with 10 years of experience in keyboard manufacturing, is experienced in working with keyboard factories. We have established relationship with 5 suppliers that meet the demand, so even if there are problems with the factories we work with, production can still continue.
3. Transparent communication: We will update our progress through Kickstarter announcements, emails, and he community, and communicate honestly with all backers and those who care, no matter what kind of issues arise.
4. Customer support: We provide customer service to ensure a timely response to your concerns and questions, whether it’s about product progress, shipping, or after-sales support.
5. After-sales support: We provide 1 year free warranty after shipment.
