Help Us Open Our Flagship Brewery & Taproom Location
After three years of self-distributing beer in a 2005 Nissan Altima, the time has finally come to fully realize the dream of opening our brewery and taproom.
We have been working incredibly hard since officially launching the NBH brand and bringing our Bidi Bidi Blonde Blonde to market.
We have experienced many milestones, highlights and successes on our journey, from collaborating with Olympic gold medalist, Brenda Villa, securing a brand partnership with Don Clemente Loteria, to being featured at the Coachella Music Festival and gaining 100+ retail accounts.
Local demand for a Norwalk Brew House taproom has increased substantially since we started self-distributing beer in 2022. With media mentions and features by ABC 7, Spectrum News, The Washington Post, Fox 11, L.A. Times, Brewbound, Craft Beer & Brewing Magazine, brand awareness and visibility has grown exponentially.
Now is the perfect time to take the leap and seize the opportunity we’ve been dreaming about since NBH started homebrewing in 2014.
We’ve assembled a super team of professionals to help us secure our building lease and make sure we’re doing everything correctly. Our team includes a commercial real estate broker, architect/designer, attorney and a consultant.
Goal Breakdown:
- Brewhouse equipment (everything needed to make beer) = $50,000
- Architect Services (design plans for brewery & taproom) = $18,000
- Commercial Lease Deposit (equal to 2 months rent) = $14,000
- Walk-in Cooler (commercial grade cold box ) = $10,000
- Draft system (hardware/installation) = $12,500

- Type 23 Beer Manufacturer License = $1,500
- Type 40 Beer License (allows us to offer guest beers) = $1,500
- Indiegogo Fees + holdings = $12,500 (10% of goal)
Ray Ricky Rivera is the founder/operator behind Norwalk Brew House.
In 2015, Ray co-founded the largest Latino homebrew club in the country — SoCal Cerveceros. Pulling from his experience as a former indie record label owner, Ray helped to establish SCC as one of the fastest growing clubs in California. Including being crowned 2018 Homebrew Club of the Year by Anchor Brewing Company, named “One of the most important homebrew clubs in the world” by Beer Paper LA and launching the largest BIPOC beer fest on the west coast: Coldxela.
Recognizing the increasing demand for more diverse and inclusive beverage products, Ray set out to develop a brand that positively represents Latino culture with values rooted in philanthropy and community. With the support of his wife, the SoCal Cerveceros community and a growing NBH following online, Ray set out to bring Norwalk Brew House to life.
In January 2022, after years of dreaming, planning and preparing to go commercial, Norwalk Brew House officially released its flagship product: Bidi Bidi Blonde Blonde Mexican-American blonde ale.
Since day one Ray has been all in working around the clock handling sales, distribution, marketing, press, and anything needed to run the Norwalk Brew House operation. This includes cofounding SCC Distribution Network LLC, an independent beer distributor foucused on working with local Latino owned breweries. The hard work has paid off and today NBH and its founder are recognized as a leader in the burgeoning Latino craft beer industry.
