Welcome to the campaign for OG Skate Park (OGSP)! We’re excited to introduce a world-class adaptive indoor skate park to Gainesville, Florida. Our mission is to create a versatile, inclusive space where people of all ages and abilities can enjoy skateboarding, roller-skating, and various community events all year round. With your support, we can build a state-of-the-art facility that brings joy, fun, and inclusivity to our community.

Our daughter Ivy Lee is a Cerebral Palsy Warrior who is an absolute adrenaline junkie. Ian has been taking her skateboarding since she was around 2 years old. She enjoys every minute. We want everyone to have the feeling of freedom on a skateboard, skates, a scooter, or in their wheelchair – soaring through obstacles.  Ian has been skateboarding for 35+ years. He is passionate about teaching others to skate.

We are both passionate about being advocates for adaptive sports and allowing the disabled community to enjoy the same things as everyone else, even if it looks less than typical.  Skateboarding was introduced into the Olympics in 2021 and is set to be in the Paralympics by 2028. We want to be a part of that by providing a world class training facility that everyone can utilize.

We are aiming to be the world’s first Indoor Extreme Sports Park that features a variety of adaptive track, adaptive equipment, as well as trainers that will foster the love for extreme sports, especially skateboarding, for the disabled community. We want everyone to feel not just included but valued in the extreme sports world. Would you like to be an essential part of bringing this dream to life? 

Steven Pinto and Daniel Paniagua of Studio Neuro custom built this skateboard rig for people with Cerebral Palsy as well as other disabilities. 

Gainesville, Florida is a vital, prosperous, and growing city in North-Central Florida. This city has the capability to host large scale events and the kindness and support we will get from this wonderful community will make a huge impact in the sports world and beyond. 

OGSP will provide Gainesville residents with a unique and state-of-the art extreme sporting complex whose indoor skate park featuring a variety of styles such as skateboarding, roller skates, roller blades, scooters, and BMX available every day, no matter the weather. This is truly a concept that is only limited by the imagination. The owners envision space for skateboarding, roller-skating, cutting edge therapies, birthday parties, private skating lessons, skating classes, indoor play space for kids, a live music event center, roller derby meets, arcade games, a snack bar, a skate shop, activities camps for kids, plus contests, competitions, art shows, and performances.

The owners will host inclusive play to include the disabled as well as the elderly community by offering specialty equipment, exclusive access for safety, and extra staff with ADA training.  OGSP will have something for everyone, and it will quickly become a popular community hub for Gainesville that boosts physical fitness and the overall wellness of the entire community.  This North Florida location will bring many people that usually pass through our area to go South and bring tourists from all over the country. 

We are anxious to start creating jobs, get more people exercising, providing the disabled and aged communities more ways of engaging with others, connecting families with needed therapy, giving back to our community and bringing more budget & family friendly fun to the area!
