An Independent Film for a Cause

I’m Eric Strelitzer, the writer and director of One With Nature, an independent full-length movie we plan on filming in the fall of 2025 in southeastern Wisconsin. One With Nature is a family-friendly dramatic thriller that came together at the intersection of three core elements: my love of running, my fear of losing my children, and my passion for stomach cancer advocacy.

My wife Karen inherited the CDH1 gene mutation, a rare medical condition that greatly increases the risk of an aggressive form of stomach cancer. After developing stage 1 stomach cancer, she is now cancer-free, following a number of surgeries and lifestyle changes. Since then, we’ve dedicated ourselves to spreading stomach cancer awareness and education, collaborating with non-profit organizations and chronicling Karen’s health journey in a limited podcast series. One With Nature is the next giant step in our stomach cancer advocacy mission.

Our goal here at Indiegogo is to raise enough money to make One With Nature the best movie we possibly can. We believe creating a narrative film about a cancer survivor who overcomes the odds and saves the day will have good commercial value with the potential of reaching a large audience. With One With Nature in the public eye, it could increase support for the stomach cancer community and open doors for advancing much-needed stomach cancer research.

What We Need & What You Get

We are seeking a minimum of $60,000 for filming expenses that include but are not limited to:

• Rates for our cast and crew
• Film production insurance
• Location permits and fees
• Travel costs
• Equipment rentals and purchases
• Wardrobe, props, and makeup
• Catering for the cast and crew
• Post-production expenses

I would also like to note that I do not intend to pay myself a salary for the production of the film and a large percentage of any money I earn from the distribution of One With Nature will be donated to our stomach cancer non-profit organization partners. The majority of the money you’ll be donating to this campaign will go to the hard-working and dedicated cast and crew of One With Nature because without them, none of this would be possible. This includes our lead actress and actor (and real-life mother and son) Bel and Laken Arrow, who have been invested in our movie since Day One!

We understand that there are a lot of very worthy causes out there that are also asking for your support, so we greatly appreciate your interest in One With Nature. But the exciting thing about our campaign is that with a minimal contribution of $10, you’ll get your name in the end credits of the film and the rewards only go up from there!
