OnlyCat® can detect and prevent entry of all small mammals and birds – any animal which is large enough to protrude out of the cat’s mouth and be clearly seen by the camera. 

Note: Although OnlyCat is guaranteed to work with cats up to 6kg, our customers have reported frequent success with larger cats, up to and exceeding 8kg.

Subscription

For those with a subscription version of OnlyCat®, you can choose to upgrade to the full version of OnlyCat® for +£299 at any point through our website. The upgrade cost will reduce by £50 per year for as long as the subscription is paid.

For those who purchase OnlyCat® as a one-off payment, the core functionality will be all available completely subscription free. At a future date, some additional functionality may be unlocked with a subscription fee (eg. increased video clip history, additional analytics… etc) to help cover the cloud infrastructure operating and maintenance cost.

Technology partnership

OnlyCat® are pleased to be working with our manufacturing partner, Transmission Dynamics®; who have over 25 years of experience in the creation of advanced, precision measurement systems for high value engineering assets.

Power

The device requires a low voltage supply (5V 1A). The device comes with a standard adaptor to convert from UK and EU/US/NZ mains supply (110 – 230V AC) to USB-C (as per a standard phone charger). One day we hope to develop a battery powered solution, however this imposes additional challenges beyond the scope of the initial product release.

We’ve found in the majority of cases the required supply cable can be discretely routed to the cat flap, and once in place users find peace of mind not having to worry about replacing batteries.

Wi-Fi

The full (single upfront payment) version of OnlyCat will work without internet access – however some smart functionality will be lost. Push notifications, video clip timelines, remote configuration, detection model updates, etc all require internet access using Wi-Fi. 

Please note: the subscription version of OnlyCat will need WiFi to validate that the subscription is active.

Shipping dates

We are actively shipping OnlyCat® devices globally. Due to unprecedented demand we currently have an order backlog which we are working hard to fulfil. We keep our backers regularly updated with production progress (see the “Updates” tab).

Shipping costs

The above figures are for delivery to your door and are all inclusive of shipping, duties, and taxes. We opted to go for Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) to ensure full transparency to our backers and helping avoid surprise additional charges, paperwork, and delays. If your country isn’t on the list please get in touch and we can investigate delivery options.

Shipments will be processed in the order that we receive them. Therefore the sooner you order, the sooner you will receive the goods! Additionally, OnlyCat® is expected to retail at £499, and by backing now, so you can save up to £120.

OnlyCat® has become indispensable for us as cat owners, and we hope to improve the quality of life for thousands of people globally. We have put our hearts and souls into this project, and we hope our backers fall in love with OnlyCat®. The project has been significantly de-risked through the development of multiple prototype iterations and ongoing customer trials. As we ramp up manufacturing, we reserve the right to make design revisions from what is pictured herein. Such revisions will be made with our backers best interests in mind.

Our prototypes have been in use for 24+ months and we achieved 100% detection accuracy within the first few weeks. We believe 99%+ accuracy should be achievable for everyone. Upon installation, accuracy should be high, and if there are any detection errors, these can be quickly reported to help the system learn.

We have added in reasonable contingency to delivery timescales to accommodate delays due to global-chip shortages; and we will place orders for long-lead subcomponents as soon as we have confirmation of the order quantities. In the event of surprises along the journey to order fulfilment, please be rest assured that we will be doing our utmost to deliver a high-quality product, strive to deliver on time, and regularly update you throughout the process.
