The helmet we all were waiting for: safe, with turn, brake & headlight flash. French touch design.

Story

Safety always comes first. But does that really have to mean compromising on design and comfort? Not anymore.

Now you can finally hit the urban streets with confidence.

With bright lights that make you visible like never before.

With turn and brake signals to indicate your intentions.

And best of all: It’s comfortable, it’s a stunner—it’s completely you.

This is Overade LIFE.

Enhance your safety and peace of mind while navigating busy urban streets. Overade LIFE comes with bright and uniform CoB LED lights on the front and back—with a visibility of up to 400m—so you can be sure that you’re visible, whether it’s day or night.

No more sticking out your arm to signal a turn. With wireless turn signals and brake warnings, you can now easily communicate your intentions to other riders and drivers. Just press a button on the OxiMote remote controller, and let your helmet do the rest.

When you apply your brakes, you want your brake lights to turn on before it’s too late. Unlike “smart” helmets that rely on deceleration detection to activate their brake lights, Overade LIFE utilizes a sensor (Oxibrake) directly on your brake levers—lighting up exactly when you start braking. No delays, no risks. Just the safety you need, reliably.

*premium & all-in-one kit only

Stay safe in any situation with clearly visible hazard lights. With just a press of a button on the OxiMote, you can activate flashing orange lights to alert others of potential danger ahead. Perfect for when you need to quickly warn others of a sudden stop or obstacle on your path.

Ringing a bell just doesn’t cut it. Overade LIFE’s headlight flash grabs the attention of riders and pedestrians on the road ahead of you—even in low-light conditions or during bad weather. So you’re always visible in emergency situations. No matter what.

Created with meticulous attention to detail, Overade LIFE boasts a sleek and sophisticated aesthetic that is as eye-catching as it is functional. With its modern lines, subtle curves, and elegant vegan leather straps, it’s designed to perfectly complement your urban style.

Available in six elegant colors—so you can go for the perfect hue that complements your desired on-the-go looks.

OxiMote

Each Overade LIFE helmet comes with a turn/hazard signal buttons (OxiMote remote controller) that snaps into place on the handbrake and handle—right at your fingertips—and wirelessly communicates with the helmet using the robust and reliable Oxi-Wireless 2.4 Ghz protocol.

OxiBrake

With the handbrake sensor (OxiBrake) add-on, you get an even more comprehensive experience— adding the ability to indicate your braking actions.

TURN and LUM lights

Want more light? Give your ride an upgrade with the LUM and TURN light add-ons, which attach firmly onto the front and back of your commuter.

And best of all, your OxiBrake and OxiMote can connect to up to 50 helmets and LUM/TURN lights. Perfect for when you have multiple urban commuters.

Connecting is easy and takes just 5 seconds—so you’ll no longer be fumbling around with unreliable Bluetooth connections or buggy smartphone apps.
So jump onto your ride and get going. Oxi-Wireless is all about simplicity, convenience, and a seamless riding experience. A solid connection that just works. Right away. Every time.

Our journey began back in 2015—with the introduction of our state-of-the-art foldable bike helmet. It marked the inception of our commitment to revolutionize urban e-commuting and set the stage for our further involvement in the industry.

We witnessed firsthand the integration of advanced light systems into helmets—culminating in designs that incorporate light systems, including turn signals and brake lights.

Our initial steps involved crafting state-of-the-art lighting tech (Oxi) designed to be attached onto helmets and bikes. Bolstered by its success, we started thinking about the next logical step: integrating Oxi technology into a revolutionary new helmet.

And that’s when the idea for the Overade LIFE was born. A helmet that seamlessly blends style and functionality, meeting all of the elevated demands of today’s day and age.

A chic design, integrated high-efficiency lights (which maintain the helmet’s aesthetic appeal even when switched off), intuitive indicators, and of course our exclusive patented brake light— the most reliable one in the market.

We’re excited to continue riding the wave of innovation, where safety meets style, and where every journey becomes an experience worth cherishing.

And with the Overade LIFE, you can be a part of it all.

Developping a new product from scratch is always a tricky adventure. Especially when you decide to make helmets that have to answer precise certifications. However, this is what we did with Life. Why taking such a risk ? For several reasons:

1. Innovation is in our DNA. Every single company is saying the same but how many of them have a worldwide patent on all of their main products ? Probably just a few. At Overade we have successfully launched a foldable helmet, an anti-cut rear trunk bag and a helmet light with left and right turn signals. So bringing something new into our business is something we are used to and something we are actually searching for. This is what’s exciting us !

2. Because our pleasure is in answering riders’ needs At Overade we are always listening to our market. And quite recently we noticed that people had to make a choice between stylish helmets and visibile helmets, integrating lights. We asked this question to our customers and they did confirmed this point: a bike helmet has to be nice and styligh to be accepted but bringing safety through visibility is also a key element for commuters. So we concluded it was worth taking the risk of launching a helmet proposing both style and high visibility.

3. Our industrial experience is very helpful At Overade we have ten years of experience in developing innovative products, so we know what to do to manufacture something new. Even if you always face issues during a development phase, we learnt from the past thus have the capacity to overcome them.

Yes it was a risky project, but a risk we evaluated and controlled. Talking about Life helmet here is what we’ve already achieved so far:

1) we made many prototypes to step by step validate the product.

2) we visited and selected two different manufacturers based on their skills: one will make all electronic parts. The 2nd will manufacture the helmet and integrate electronic parts in there.

3) we made several kilometers testing our helmet in real conditions in Paris’ streets.

4) we launched the first pre-production run already. The idea was to cover and validate all previous steps and be as ready as possible when the Kickstarter project would start.

5) we control quality of Life helmet during production and before shipping. In terms of shipping, sending batteries is not complicated but (expensive !) it may require specific documents in certain countries. We paid a special attention to this issue, finding professionnal partners to help us to figure this out. So we did our maximum to secure this point. Every order delivered within the EU will not be subject to any customs duties or additional taxes.

However, deliveries made outside the European Union may be subject to customs duties or import taxes. The amounts of such duties and taxes vary by country and by type of product. As we are unable to keep track of them all, we recommend that you contact your country’s customs office if you want more information on this.

Thank you very much for your attention and for supporting us.

When you create innovative products quality and durability is not an option. It’s a must have. How do you want to convince several thousands of customers if you propose them a foldable helmet that is not reliable. You just can’t. So what do we concretely do for this? 1) we select the right manufacturer 2) we work closely with them to validate and control material they are sourcing for our products 3) we implement drastic quality control during manufacturing process 4) we quality control ALL new products arriving in our warehouse Doing so we guarantee quality products that are made to last.

Recycling and recovery of waste

Up to now, bike helmets have always been complicated to recycle because for manufacturing issues, it’s easier to glue parts together. The problem is that once glued, you can’t recycle them efficiently. From day 1 of this Life helmet project, we wanted to consider things differently: so we found a way not to use glue in our helmet. Parts are screwed together. It’s more expensive to produce, because a bit more complicated to assemble versus glued, but this will allow us to separate materials when reclycling the helmet, including necessary batteries for the lighting system. Another advantage doing so is that helmets with lighting problems will have the possibility to be repaired instead of thrown away.

Environmentally friendly factories

Contrary to what people consider, manufacturers located in Asia also have important rules to follow, especially environmentally wise. Problem is that not all of them are respecting these rules. When selecting a manufacturer we: 1) check that they respect local environmental rules 2) check if they propose correct working conditions 3) of course make sure that only adult workers are employed To proceed we personnaly select our manufacturers with local visits. Once done, we meet them as regularly as necessary.

Another thing :

When designing our products, we make sure that they will be proposing relevant technologies. For example, would be much easier, faster and cheaper to propose lights working with classic cells/button cells instead of long lasting batteries. But it just does not make sense environmental wise. So we opted for batteries. It’s the same for charging cables: everybody has too many cables in their drawers. So our OxiBrake device is sold without cable for instance. We won’t change the world with this. But it’s our first steps toward a better situation and hopefully we’ll go much further within the coming years.
