OYO’s system uses hydraulic fluid to transform the pedaling motion into forward drive, rather than the regular chain and sprocket. Pedaling Power is transferred from the pedals by means of a liquid passing through the tubes from the hydraulic pump to the hydraulic motor in the back. The pressurized liquid flows inside the bicycle frame to the rear wheel, and the hydraulic motor utilizes the energy by way of the liquid to rotate the wheel, creating a  smooth ride uninterrupted by rough transitions.

OYO’s gears are continuous, so you’ll never feel the transition. It’s like there are no gears, yet there are all the gears.

We at B.C. Bikes have for several years now been in the process of developing the bicycle of tomorrow: a smart, urban, personal transportation tool that will make the bike accessible to thousands of city and suburb dwellers.

Our invention makes the experience of riding a bike new, simple, easy, and safe. Ours is a bike that requires almost no fiddling and no concern: with automatically shifting gears, and with almost no need for maintenance, all you have to do is get on and ride.

We’ve been working on OYO tirelessly for the last six years to create a smart, clean, super responsive and incredibly innovative bike. Six prototypes later, we are proud to say we’ve reached a design that we want to push though. Now we need your help to make this a reality.
