First Aid Kits Empowering You To Act With Kindness In Extreme Situations

Story

My name is Matt and I’ve been working as a paramedic for over six years.

After responding to thousands of calls, it became clear to me that many people are not prepared to handle an emergency, and I wanted to play a more proactive role in helping people.

Any first responder knows that in addition to proper training, a wide range of high-quality tools is crucial for helping in an emergency.

I set out on a mission to determine what are the best first aid kits out there, and improve upon them using my experience as a paramedic. I customized the Paramedic Approved first aid kits so that you can feel confident knowing an experienced medical professional hand-selected every item in your first aid kit.

In addition, once the kits are manufactured at scale, they will also have design modifications not seen in the prototype pictures that will make them entirely unique.

Everyone hopes that they will never have to deal with an emergency.

The current global pandemic is a perfect example that you never know what can happen, and preparing for the unexpected is critical.

While some people get lucky and never run into problems, many people find themselves ill-equipped to handle an unexpected emergency.

We don’t want you to fall into that group, so even if you decide not to purchase our first aid kits for yourself or a loved one, we encourage all of you to have a high-quality first aid kit if you do not already have one.

Bandages that don’t stick, tape that falls off, zippers that break, and trauma shears that can’t cut a piece of paper.

These are some of the things you can expect from a low-quality first aid kit.

This defeats the whole purpose of having a first aid kit.

The Paramedic Approved first aid kits are built to stand the test of time, so when the moment comes to use them, you’ll have the peace of mind knowing you can count on your kit.

Open up most first aid kits and what do you see? A bunch of stuff without much organization.

This can make things even more challenging because stress and fear typically cloud our minds, making it harder to find what we’re looking for.

Organization was one of our top priorities, so our kits are designed to allow you to find what you’re looking for quickly.

All of our first aid kits have labeled and color-coded compartments so that you can save time when it matters most. Our kits also provide you with extra space to add more items for any unique requirements.

We believe that EVERYONE should have access to affordable medical care. Period.

The idea that many people don’t have a first aid kit because of the cost is unacceptable, so we have priced our kits well below the price of comparable first aid kits.

These kits are best for on-the-go. They are light, portable, and contain the essentials while minimizing the quantity of each item. That way when you use an item, you can restock it from your larger first aid kit. Some of the best activities to take this kit with you include: hiking, biking, camping, backpacking, travel, car, and anywhere else you might be on-the-go.

These kits are the best of both worlds. They are still relatively light and portable but contain more items to prepare you for a wider range of emergencies. They also contain a higher quantity of the more commonly used items, so you do not need to restock as frequently. These kits are perfect for the home, car, RV, boat, and any other location that suits your needs.

These are our one-and-done kits. These kits are packed with a ton of equipment, which means you will likely not have to worry about restocking for years to come. If you have a family or get yourself in trouble relatively frequently, this is the kit for you. We also encourage you to have one of the smaller, more portable kits on hand as well, which means you could use the large kit to restock the smaller kit. Tuck this one away in your home, boat, or RV and feel confident that you’ll be set for the long term.

While gauze and a compressive bandage stop bleeding in the vast majority of traumatic injuries, tourniquets are used to stop heavy arterial bleeding.

This device has saved many lives over the years, but they do require some basic level of training to use them.

However, we want to be transparent.

From years of experience in the field, we do not believe they are necessary for all first aid kits because of how infrequently they are needed, which is why we didn’t include them in our first aid kits.

If you would like to add them to your kit, we encourage that you learn how to properly use them if you are not already trained.

Immobilization splints, like the famous SAM splint, are useful for upper extremity injuries like a broken wrist/arm.

They not only reduce pain, but they can also prevent further damage until you can make it to the hospital.

This makes for a great addition to the Paramedic Approved approved first aid kits.

Why We’re Asking for Your Support

We intend to raise funds with Kickstarter to pay for the initial order of the first aid kits, and we would be forever grateful if you could help us reach our goal!

SPECIAL THANKS to our extended team members, partners, and collaborators! We couldn’t have done it without you!
