Aside from adding to its vintage charm, the bellows are a seamless means for you to zoom from 50 mm up to 110 mm toward your subject and take amazing close-up shots.

 How Has Life Been For You?  
 

The Jollylook journey began with a cardboard camera, followed by an auto instant camera. Thanks to successful Kickstarter campaigns and your feedback, we have created a unique vintage instant camera kit that you can build yourself. But, the road to success is not without obstacles. If you’ve been following our story and been part of the Jollylook community, you’d know we have experienced some setbacks with the Ukrainian war. Our previous campaign was successful, but many backers haven’t received their rewards because of the situation.  If we have the same success with this campaign, we will use part of the funds to ship their rewards. We are not letting anything stop us from moving forward. It’s been a similar journey to what our camera brings, and we’ve learned so many lessons – patience, perseverance, never giving up, and finding solutions to any situation. A journey we’d like for you to find in the Jollylookpinhole DIY kit camera too.

The team has tested several dozens of prototypes over the past year and tested them for production.  We have also applied for US and global patents.

We are on our way to organizing a large-scale production and marketing full-blast.

Even when the terrible war started in our home country Ukraine on February 24th, and our equipment was destroyed, we didn’t put our hands down and moved to Zvolen, Slovakia, where we have already set up the manufacturing and are ready for mass production.
Jollylook Pinhole DIY, being our 3rd campaign, comes with lots of previous learning and experience. While with any project, there are risks, we are confident that the risks we may face have been mitigated by the experience and proven supply relationships we developed from manufacturing the original Jollylook.

Risks and challenges

We never give up and do everything possible and impossible to bring our project to fruition. We have developed a working prototype, ensuring that all aspects of the design can be cost-effectively and reliably manufactured and that quality control can be maintained in all aspects of the production process. We have fully costed the camera’s components and ensured that the sale price would adequately cover all costs with a significant safety margin. We accordingly consider all foreseeable risks to be low and anticipate being able to achieve the proposed delivery date.
