Short Summary

Today’s dominant mindset focusing on self-interest, money and power has created an existential Global MegaCrisis of climate change, polarization, gross inequality, gridlock, etc. 

• The UN warned of a “Total societal collapse unless major decline in carbon emissions is made soon,”
• A New York Times survey of 10,000 people found “56% think humanity is doomed.”

If we hope to create a world that works, we will have to recognize that all life is intrinsically connected. The Portal will enable anyone, anywhere to experience the Global Consciousness (GC) needed to create a mature civilization that is sustainable.

This project is led by Prof. William Halal  at George Washington University and colleagues forming the PGC Team. Bill’s latest book shows how the digital revolution is driving a GC to resolve existential crises that threaten civilization.  

Global problems require global solutions. The Portal will bring together thought leaders to build a state-of-the-art website that offers an audio-visual sensory experience that recognizes humanity’s interconnectedness with all life as the dominant worldview. This collaboration will integrate the work of experts studying consciousness,  AI, AR, VR and other advanced technologies, psychologists, and artists who know how to alter consciousness.

Visitors will be carried through an intellectual understanding of how the world is moving toward a global consciousness, then to appreciating its applications, and finally to actually feeling the profound emotions spiritually.

The Portal will also evolve continuously by integrating the knowledge, opinion and visions of experts and participants into a living vision able to adapt to this constantly changing transition toward global maturity.

With funding, the PGC Team is confident it can realize its vision of proving a central hub that connects anyone mentally into the evolving global consciousness to a sustainable world we all want and need — or face disaster.

What We Need & What You Get

The Portal requires roughly $65,000 to complete all work before launching. This includes building a website using voice recognition, augmented reality and other sophisticated tools, soliciting partners in this field and integrating their work into a unified whole.

Donors contributing funds will be given the following benefits:

Donors contributing $100 + will be mailed a signed copy of Prof. Halal’s award-winning book, Beyond Knowledge: How Technology Is Driving an Age of Consciousness.  See www.BeyondKnowledge.org

Donors contributing $3,000 + will be receive a presentation on this topic by Prof. Halal and other partners at a donor’s event of their choosing.

The Impact

The Portal hopes to transform the mindset of a critical number of people (~3.5%) into a vision of GC  for a sustainable world. 

The Portal will also provide a wealth of opportunities to study various aspects of global consciousness, hold workshops and seminars, network with others, and advance the adoption of this crucial worldview.

Risks & Challenges

Although the GC Team understands the Portal  concept is a long shot, the potential for shifting global attitudes in this crucial direction is enormous. We receive strong support from those hearing this idea and we think the Portal could go viral.

Prof. Halal and the team have decades of experience in technology, web design, project management to deal with these challenges.
