The Story of Occupation, Misinformation, and American Influence
What We Are Producing and Why:
On October 5th, 2024, nearly one year after Hamas attacked Israel on Oct. 7th, journalist Sam Mena stood in front of the White House and lit his arm on fire to protest America’s complicity in the Israeli genocide of the Palestinian people. Simply put, to him, the world needed to know the full truth behind the Palestinian experience in Gaza; the brutal campaign of genocide and occupation that the Israeli government had invoked. Western media stood by silently watching the death and destruction of the Palestinian people in retribution for that day, while their Arab counterparts died reporting on these atrocities.
These journalists told the story of Palestinian suffering, but were ignored by the world.
Israeli aligned media however, gave political cover to the idea that the Israelis were victims of the greatest killing of Jews since the Holocaust. What was notably absent from this narrative however were the relative facts that led to that horrible day : 77 years of brutal militarized apartheid occupation of Palestine by Israel, the theft of Arab lands, the widespread killing, oppression, incarceration, and dehumanization of the Palestinian people. All of which culminated in the active resistance to Israeli brutality that we all now know as Oct. 7th.
This event didn’t happen in a vacuum, and Sam Mena, along with the team at Kufi Productions, aim to produce a film that shows the world the whole story of Palestine.

The Impact:
The entire truth behind the Israeli-Palestinian conflict needs to be told. Up until now, the State of Israel has controlled the Western narrative. For the first time in history, because of social media, the world has become awakened to the atrocities carried out in Palestine. This film brings awareness to this struggle, humanizes the Palestinian people, and sets the historical record straight to a global audience. You can be a part of that change, and follow Sam on this journey of humanity.
