We partnered with German engineers to create a rowing machine with a silent resistance mechanism, that is sleek, lightweight, portable, and easily fits in your space.

We eliminated the heavy steel frame from the equation to make ROWBRO lighter than traditional rowing machines. So, you get to experience powerful workouts without the heavyweight metal frame.

Want to burn more calories and build more muscle? ROWBRO also comes with a pull-up bar so you can work your biceps and much more.

No need to go to the gym with this feat of German engineering in your home.

We designed ROWBRO for every space and almosteveryone (maximum user weight is 120kg/256 lbs, and maximum user height is 200cm/6.56in.)

ROWBRO wheels are similar to inline skate wheels, so they are safe for most flooring. They work best on hard flooring but they also work on carpets—just as a chair with wheels would. You can set it up in any sturdy doorway using the pull-up bar as support or use the additional wall mount. The width of the doorway can be between 25.5-47 inches or 65-120 centimeters.

A wall mount is also available as an add-on purchase.

Have a smaller space? You can take out ROWBRO when it’s time to work out and stow it when you’re done. You don’t need any fancy tools to set up the rower. The pull-up bar comes with a hex key for adjusting it in the doorway—and that’s it.

ROWBRO is made for rowing novices and pros—the rower offers three levels of resistance for optimal rowing control—low, medium, and high.

The level of resistance determines the difficulty of each stroke.

Connect your smartphone/tablet via Bluetooth to the ROWBRO app and get straight to rowing. The ROWBRO app helps you track your rowing progress in real-time.

The app works with both iOS and Android devices and the basic functions of the app are free. We plan to launch a premium membership soon with features such as live classes and fun games.

The ROWBRO story begins at the gym, where else?

As serial entrepreneur brothers and active gym goers, we saw a huge problem in the at-home gym equipment industry. We believed there had to be a compact at-home rower that doesn’t cost a ton, but soon we realized that all the so-called “at home” rowing machines weren’t meant for all homes—they were hefty in size and cost.

And because we didn’t find the perfect at-home rower—we built one.

We sought to make a truly compact rowing machine that would give users all the benefits of a rower (burn more calories and engage over 85% of muscles) in a machine that fits in the home, stows easily, looks great, and doesn’t cost too much.

During the countless hours working on the rower, we referred to the prototype as our little ROWBRO, and the name kind of stuck around.

This is us, the two bros and our little ROWBRO.

To create ROWBRO we collaborated with BUSSE Design+Engineering–a company of seasoned German engineers established in 1959 to develop the world’s most compact rower that’s so much more.

BUSSE has helped shape and anticipate the zeitgeist of design. Over the past six decades, many world market leaders have relied on their design competence and innovative power. Products developed with BUSSE stand for high functional and design quality.

It took a lot of trips to the drawing board and thousands of cups of joe, but we made it.

Of course, no Kickstarter project is without risk. We’re doing something big here, and we are constantly working to ensure that our backers’ expectations are met and exceeded. However, given our experience as serial entrepreneurs, together with the support of seasoned German engineers and manufacturers in Europe who share our vision for this project, we feel confident in our ability to deliver your ROWBRO on time.
