In May 2020, I moved to North Port FL to enjoy my pool, fishing off my dock, and the wonderful sunshine. 

To enjoy my pool longer and not get fried, I bought a Cantilever Umbrella. However, the 35-pound umbrella required an 80-pound base weight to keep the whole thing from flying away. After dragging this around my patio to keep up with the sun, I thought there must be an easier way to get the shade I need while outside

Then I imagined a cantilever umbrella being able to hang in any location to ditch the base. As a result, the Shade-Hanger System was created.

It’s like mobile shade. Lift the umbrella from the hanger bracket, and move it to a different bracket, Then, enjoy the shade in that location. It can be employed on a dock piling to shade your fishing adventure, or on any vertical surface.

Get the UV protection and shade you need to fully enjoy your outside experiences. Enjoy more outdoor time using the Shade-Hanger System.

What I’ve Done

1. I’ve worked with a Patent Attorney firm since April 2022. The Review Attorney was excited by this simple, yet novel concept
2. On Sep 23, 2022,  I was issued Patent Pending No.63/409,297
3. The Patent Conversion Application was awaiting the infomercial to show it works. It should be submitted soon and will be expedited by USPTO
4. I submitted for Tradename “SHADE-HANGER SYSTEM” and a Trademark logo
5. I own the domain name, “Shade-Hanger.com”
6. Shade-Hanger System is now an LLC in the State of Florida
7. Shade-Hanger System LLC also has an EIN for tax purposes

The Impact

Your contribution will kick-start manufacturing. A one-time cost to build the injection tooling mold – about $38,000

The materials to produce the first 1,000 sets – about $38,000

My marketing plan begins by exhibiting my product at two Home & Garden shows, with other projected expenses – about $5,000.

In total with additional expenses will take about $90,000 to get this product to market
