We’re listening to more content at home than ever before. If you’re like us, you’ve got music and podcasts streaming at all hours. But there’s one place in the house that’s tough to get good sound — the shower. Existing waterproof speakers just don’t cut it. So, we made a speaker that you’ll love using in the shower, every day.

And now for a serious question…Who’s ready to make shower raves a thing? 

 

 Our Hydropower speaker was designed to never leave you without music in the bathroom. Once installed, Shower Power never needs to be removed. And that’s all thanks to our proprietary hydropower system. 

Our hydropower system works like a water wheel in a dam. Before the flow from your shower reaches the showerhead, it rotates an internal impeller, which is connected to a mini-generator that charges a battery. The moment water starts to flow, Shower Power starts to charge.

Shower Power automatically turns on when the water flow starts. It uses Bluetooth to connect to your device, so all you need to worry about is what podcast you’re going to listen to next. 

Our proprietary “sound wave” diffuser sends sound in all directions for a 360-degree immersive audio experience, despite the small size. 

Brushing your teeth at the sink and want a little extra sound in the bathroom? We created an extra mini Bluetooth waterproof speaker that pairs with Shower Power. So you can create a surround sound system in your bathroom.

As well as using renewable energy to power it, Shower Power is also made with 100% recycled ocean plastic. And in 2020, we made it our mission to eliminate single-use plastic from our packaging too. Our end goal is to make more sustainable tech products throughout the product development process — from idea through mass production. 

We kept this goal in mind when we designed Shower Power. So, it was important for us to select our materials thoughtfully and carefully. We worked with RTP to develop a plastic compound that was made from 100% recycled ocean plastic, which uses 15 recycled bottles in every speaker. Not only that, but it had to be engineered to work in the shower — so it’s super durable and also 99.9% antimicrobial.

The minimalist and elegant design comes in three colors — crisp white, matte black and chrome. The colors will be unlocked as the campaign grows. See our initial stretch goals of their timeline (final goals to be confirmed in the first week of the campaign). 

Shower Power has been designed to fit on any showerhead (in any country), including fixed, handheld, and rain. So you don’t need to worry about a complicated installation. And, once in place, it does not affect shower pressure or water usage.
