Hi, I am trying to raise money to finish my game about dueling guitar wizards.  I have always been a big fan of that nexus of fantasy and metal, usually played up in many “power metal” bands.   I am creating a high-fantasy multiplayer guitar game that combines this aesthetic with that of the battle scene from Crossroads.

I have already developed a demo which I believe proves the concept.  I wouldn’t ask for money had I not felt I had already done the hard and technical part, and had proved to myself that the primary game mechanic is solid.  Much of what remains is to finish building the networking for multiplayer, the story-line, much more music, art, and writing.  To make this the best content I possibly can, I decided to try a Kickstarter campaign.  I will be using the money to fund the creation of this content from extremely talented artists.  The goal is to create a light-hearted and comical high-fantasy / metal inspired world as the setting for a solid rhythm game with RPG elements.  Ultimately, with enough funding, this would include the player vs player online multiplayer infrastructure.  I also want the game to be an educational tool for new guitarists as well.

Depending on the level of support, I plan to do regular live-coding sessions which will be streamed on either Twitch or D-Live in order to keep everyone updated on the progress, and to give backers a channel to give feedback during the creation of the game.
