When we set out to create the Simprella, we talked to lots of people who don’t like to carry an umbrella during rain season. Reason is simple, the size. They could not be bothered because umbrellas are just too much to carry around.

The new Fold Flat Frame design is quite at the core of the super compact engineering philosophy that is inherent throughout the Simprella. With new material upgrade on all parts, It’s stronger and lighter at the same time, without compromising durability over time.

Frame is built entirely on strengthened aluminium and fibreglass, able to withstand wind of speed up to 10m/s, it will never rust.

By reducing the design to its simplest, most minimal form, we were able to bring the new Fold Flat Frame size down to just 14cm tall and 2cm thick. 

Every component of the frame has been refined to keep its weight down, at just 125g(4.41oz) only, the 2nd gen FFF is over 30% lighter than its predecessor. 

It was important for our team engineer to craft a frame that’s not only revolutionary compact, but also durable at the same time.

High density feather-light polyester fabric is used to optimise its overall performance as a rain-gear, making the Simprella super agile and easy to care for.
