A world of Squiggles

The Squiggle lamp collection is the latest work of furniture designer Jørn Broen Christensen.

Working with chaotic shapes and coincidence Jørn Broen is able to replicate the same appealing aesthetic we find in nature and unwittingly make in slots of time on a piece of paper.

Sizes 

Squiggle come in three different sizes. So no matter the sizes of your workspace Squiggle will provide you with sufficient quality light.
 

SMAL: Height 42 cm / 16.5 inches – Width: 60 cm / 24 inches. 320 lumen. 

 

MEDIUM: Height: 50 cm / 20 inches – Width 75 cm / 30 inches. 380 lumen.

 

LARGE: Hight 72 cm / 28 inches – Width 100 cm / 40 inches. 505 Lumen.

Technical specs 

 Squiggle come with a powerful LED source of 950 lumen pr meter. This make it well suited as a work light.

The LED´s have a pleasant warm white colour of 2700 Kelvin – as know from halogen lights. 

The lamp have a very good colour reproduction of 97 CRI. The colours of the objects Squiggle illuminates will be correct.
 

To illustrate the illuminating power of the Squiggle lamp we have picked a picture below that demonstrates this. It is taken on a clouded day.

The lamp is placed high above but is still able to illuminate the girls legs and the whole piano. The lamp in use is the Squiggle Medium / 380 lumen.

 

 

Squiggle comes with all 4 global power supply standards. In the post-campaign survey we will let you specify which type you need.

 

 

Designer and founder

Jørn Broen is the designer of the Squiggle lamp and the founder of Broen Interior Design.  

Jørn has 15 years experience with product design and product development. 

Furthermore Jørn has 2 years experience  from working on the floor in a metal workshop. 
 

 

 

Production and delivery

Our first batch of Squiggle lamps are in production now  and we will be able to deliver the first 300 lamps in first half of June 2020.

Risks and challenges

While this is our first Kickstarter campaign, it is not our first experience manufacturing a quality design product. Please see our website for previous products. The Squiggle lamp is a unique design with advanced 3D tube bending and a high quality light source but the product is not a challenge to produce as such. Most parts are standard or simple to manufacture. We work closely with skilled manufactures and will do final assembly and quality control in house.
