A film about a girl surviving a traumatic event.
St. Arcadia is about a girl named Arcadia who is traumatized after a date gone wrong. Afterwards she descends into a life of drugs and hard partying. One night while watching a horror film with friends she is suddenly triggered and remembers the traumatic event. She soon volunteers to be a part of a study group that is testing a new pharmaceutical drug that treats PTSD called Moss. The catch? It makes a person hallucinate. But Arcadia is no stranger to different realms and is often accompanied by an otherworldly friend.
I myself am a sexual assault survivor. I am passionate at putting an end to rape culture. I have a burning desire to see rape victims advocated for and heard. I want society to push for educated men and women who know about consent.
I’m raising funds to produce the trailer for my film St. Arcadia. This will help provide funds to pay for the cast, crew, equipment and studio.
First I want to raise funds to be able to produce a trailer. I then want to take the trailer to show potential investors to help fund the full length film.
My name is Domino Royal and I reside in Riverside, California. In 2018 of October I was diagnosed with breast cancer. At the time I was going to school and working but soon left work.
Although I’m not done with my cancer journey I know I want to make film. I’ve been writing St. Arcadia for four years and am excited to see it in its next phase.
