Stratus was made by musicians, for musicians. Now you can seamlessly craft your sound no matter how or what you play. You won’t find a more user friendly multi-effects platform.

The incredibly intuitive Chaos Audio app (available for both iOS and Android) allows you to control every aspect of Stratus via Bluetooth right from the palm of your hand. You can download new effects from the store, create and save different presets by chaining together up to five effects, and access a wide variety of new features as they become available. The app is also used to update the software running on Stratus, so as bugs and feature requests present themselves, we can take care of them through updates on a regular basis.

It’s never been easier to build out unique presets and unleash your creativity. With the ability to chain up to five effects together in any order, Stratus serves as an excellent pedal for practice or recording. Or throw Stratus on your existing pedalboard as a “swiss-army knife” to add any effect(s) you may need for your gig on the fly. You can leave those looper and tuner pedals at home! Once you’ve set up your effects chain, Stratus will save it even through a full reboot–no app necessary.

With an online effects platform, Stratus will continue to get access to new and exciting effects. We’ll be updating the platform on regular basis, and we plan to partner with different musicians and pedal manufacturers to create custom artist-series effects and verified pedal emulations. It’s like the App Store… in a stompbox.

Stratus comes with a built-in looper that affords up to five minutes of recording time and an unlimited number of overdubs. Just click the knob to start recording! Stratus’ looper functions like other single-button loopers, and the LEDs up top will guide you as you go from recording, to playback, to overdub modes.

Our high-accuracy tuner works with or without the app and has a plethora of different tunings. Hold down the stomp switch and use the built-in LEDs and auto-string detection to quickly get your instrument in tune. Or use the app to get an accurate measurement, down to the cents value!

We need your help to take our patent-pending design to mass production. Last November we secured venture capital investment through TechFarms Capital. That has allowed us to continue to iterate on and improve our design, but the initial batch of Stratus pedals will cost quite a bit to produce. The larger the initial production volume we can order, the higher the chance we’ll be able to continue to scale at the same rapid pace, adding new features to Stratus through firmware updates and continuing to roll out new effects through the online platform!

Chaos Audio is a small group of engineers with a passion for music. The idea for Stratus was born out of necessity. As broke college students we couldn’t afford to buy expensive guitar pedals. So we made our own. Now we need your help to bring this technology to everyone else!

We have taken Stratus from concept to reality in a year with minimal funding and we have many more exciting ideas for the future. We hope you can see the same potential in Stratus and the Chaos Audio brand.
