Two epic “Twin Peaks” Fan Films for one donation. Can you beat that?

Story

“Gentlemen, when two separate events occur simultaneously pertaining to the same object of inquiry, we must always pay strict attention.” – Agent Cooper

Hey everyone, my name is Cameron Cloutier and for the past decade I’ve created hundreds of videos on my popular Youtube channel, “Obnoxious and Anonymous” discussing the world of “Twin Peaks”, including interviews with cast and crew–as well as running the highly successful Facebook page, “Twin Peaks Worldwide” which is currently heading towards 100,000 followers strong.

I have also spent my creative life writing short stories, poems and screenplays; making short films/documentaries, music videos and independent features. I have also worked in news media as well as true crime reporting; with my work being cited by 20/20, HBO and celebrated crime author, Michelle McNamara (“I’ll Be Gone in the Dark”).

Since I was young, I have always been interested in all aspects of the filmmaking process, from the creation of an idea through marketing.

Starting in 2018, I began a three year journey making the epic “Twin Peaks” fan film, “Queen of Hearts” after a successful crowdfunding campaign. It premiered online in the fall of 2021 and has received great acclaim; not to mention over a million views.

Originally “Queen of Hearts: A Twin Peaks Fan Film” was going to be a one and done story but as I was editing over the course of the pandemic, I began to think about ways I could potentially continue the story if the opportunity was to ever present itself.

Cut to the summer of 2023 and I’m now spending time with my good friend and filmmaker, Josh Eisenstadt.

In case you weren’t aware, Josh is a world renowned David Lynch fan.

A staple at the “Twin Peaks” Festivals for 30 years, cultivating lifelong friendships with fans and cast / crew members, hosting location tours in both Washington State and Southern California, as well as running the notorious trivia game at the Fests each year. He also has conducted interviews for previous “Twin Peaks” physical media releases, directed four feature films, numerous shorts, music videos and is currently an in-demand producer in Hollywood.

So for him to tell me that “Queen of Hearts” is the best “Twin Peaks” Fan Film made thus far and asking if I would ever consider making a follow up, well–that meant the world to me.

I remember telling him that while I felt the film closed on an emotionally satisfying conclusion, there is certainly more story to tell.

Josh then encouraged me to work on it and so I did–becoming more and more enamored with what I was constructing.

“Black Rose: A Twin Peaks Fan Film” will once again tell two stories that will fold in on each other. The first concerns itself with the casino / brothel, One Eyed Jacks and the other will follow the still living characters from “Queen of Hearts” post Season 3 / “The Return”.

Whereas “Queen of Hearts: A Twin Peaks Fan Film” could serve as a giant missing piece in the established universe, “Black Rose” will instead function as a ‘What If..?’ and tell a tale that may well be rendered obsolete when another official film / series of “Twin Peaks” gets announced in the future.

(It’s been recently confirmed that David Lynch himself apparently has ideas for a potential Season 4, according to his longtime producer, Sabrina Sutherland.)

However, I can live with that–and since multiple timelines have now been firmly established, it will be easier for viewers and fans to accept as well.

I already have a lot of wonderful people involved too, including the amazing Madison Bates set to continue her redefining role as Annie, the band, VVisteria Lodge, working assistant director in Hollywood, Millie Cupp, special effects maestro, Benjamin Oliver and actor / singer / producer, Sheilava (showcased in my “Black Rose: A Twin Peaks Fan Film” Promotional Teaser, as well as her music videos for “Red Room” and “Cage” that are included in the campaign’s video section).

That being said, there’s even more.

I said to Josh that if I was going to make another movie set in this non-canon / fan film universe, then he should as well.

Josh agreed.

Since he had been great friends with actress Pamela Gidley, his tribute film, tentatively called, “Teresa with a T” will center around the life of the character she played in “Fire Walk With Me”, Teresa Banks and the events that drove her from One Eyed Jacks to Deer Meadow, Washington.

So you see, our campaign isn’t just for one fan film, but rather two distinct visions that will explore material that each of us hold near and dear to our hearts.

When there are location / character overlaps, we’re going to embrace them so that actors / locales that function in each of our stories will appear in both–and taken alongside my previous fan film, “Queen of Hearts”, the intention is to ignite a non-canon “Twin Peaks” cinematic universe for the hardcore and new viewers alike.

Both of our films will be their own thing, yet completely respectful to ALL 🙂 that has come before–and the attention to detail will be unparalleled.

Every penny contributed will be going into cameras, lights, cast, crew, wardrobe, props, location / studio rentals, set constructions, VFX, choreographers, stunts, intimacy coordinators, sound, transportation, housing, meals, permits, insurance, etc.

So donate, donate, donate to the campaign and then share, share, share.  I cannot stress this enough.

Obviously the more we raise, the higher the production quality will be.

Also, please keep in mind that Indiegogo does take 5% of each donation, as well as charge standard credit card fees; not to mention taxes–so our aim is to hopefully reach a total number that soars over the proposed goal to cover these add-ons.

When “Twin Peaks” first aired, it quickly became a hallmark experience for both Josh and myself–and we never forgot it when much of the world had just moved on afterwards.

And now that it’s been nearly a decade since the making of Season 3 / “The Return”, we still can think of nothing more rewarding than to give back to the world “where it all began”.

Let’s rock.
