A multi year project to photograph and video all the National Parks of the world.
Ever since I was 16 years old I have been had a keen interest in photography. While the passion was a part time hobby it was there.
In 2000 myself and my family moved to Calgary, Alberta, Canada and i got my first glimpse of the Rockies. the magestry and magnificence of them left me in awe. It was then that my photography turned from hobby to passion.
In 2019 I lost my right leg after a photography trip to Newfoundland. As I laid in the hospital bed watching a lot of TV that the world was changing fast and not for the better. All I could think about was what if we lost it all because those in charge were not behaving rationally.
In June I got a new mechanical leg and that is when the mission started. I was going to photograph all the National Parks in the world.
I thought I would start with the Canadian Mountain National Parks, Banff, Jasper, Kootney, Revelstoke, Glacier and Waterton. The parks in my back yard. It would give me a chance to figure out my leg and regain my strength before I tackled the rest of the world.
My fear is that my grandchildren and their children will not see the beauty I have been witness to. So i will set out with my wife and we will photography and video the National Parks of the world so at least the next generations will have something to remind them of the beauty that was once there.
