A womanizing frat boy’s social circle implodes when he accidentally breaks his penis during sex.

Story

“It’s a comedy about a guy who breaks his dick. It’s called The Snap.”

Around the bar, my friends choked on their beers and doubled over. “Wait, what!?”

I’m Penn Harrison. I’ve spent most of my life studying and practicing screenwriting, directing, and producing both in America and abroad. After 5 years in LA’s entertainment industry, I’m ready to make my first feature. But my larger goal is to democratize filmmaking for my generation: Gen Z.

Boomers assume we’re glued to our phones, lack the attention spans for sophisticated stories, and won’t watch a video longer than ten seconds.

But we also sold out thousands of theaters for Barbenheimer last year.

We still care about movies — and meme culture offers incredible, untapped marketing tools.

That’s why I’ve teamed up with lead actor, executive producer, and social media influencer Nic Suarez to make a crowdfunded, college-themed comedy which integrates its audience in ways no film has done before.

My team and I have spent two years meticulously crafting a project which blends a shocking, meme-ready premise with more serious tonal themes: coming-of-age, healthy versus toxic masculinity, redemption, and helping others — to ultimately develop a crowd pleasing, timeless tale of young people finding their place in the world.

Many of us lost a year or two of college or high school to Covid. Parties. Graduations. Relationships. Milestones weren’t the same; adolescence wasn’t like the movies. As an antidote, I want to make a movie which vicariously gives viewers those rites of passage, and lets older generations relive those memories.

But yeah, it’s also, first and foremost… about a guy who breaks his dick.

Using Tiktok and Reels to market and crowdfund, we’ve created numerous opportunities to involve fans in the filmmaking process and even appear in the film, score producing credits, and break into the industry.

We’ve secured development funds from a private investor, but to complete our budget and make a professional and compelling feature film, we need to raise $300k. This will enable us to hire a professional crew, utilize hospital and college campus locations, and rehire the world-class cast from my short film.

We need you, our audience, to bring our vision to life — but we’re not crowdfunding in the traditional sense.

Not only will every donated dollar end up on the screen — so will our donors.

Every donor of $100 or more gets a T-shirt featuring the film’s viral broken banana logo.

Now, we challenge you, the fans, to create humorous short-form videos with the shirts and tag our social handles. We’ll repost fan-generated content to the film’s official Tiktok and Instagram pages, opening it up to an audience of over eight million people through our star Nic Suarez.

But that’s not all… here’s the game changer.

Our favorite fan-generated videos will get integrated into a hilarious climactic sequence in the film.

This gives audiences a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to get their content featured in a major motion picture and seen by a combined social media, streaming, and theatrical audience of millions.

For fans who want to participate in a larger way, we offer perks including set visits, private screenings, and opportunities to jump in the film as extras, speaking roles, or even associate producers.

We’re tearing down the typical barriers to entry into the film industry and paving the way for our generation to integrate social media with traditional cinema and make a movie we’ll never forget.

Just do me a favor: don’t break your banana.
