The True Places Folding Chair is much easier to tote than traditional outdoor chairs. The frame is made from lightweight aerospace-grade aluminum which is 3x lighter than steel and folds up very small, making it easy to carry!

The sustainable, high quality carrying bag has a padded shoulder strap so you can carry the chair messenger style or just over your shoulder. You can also connect two of the chairs and carry them both backpack style.

 

 

 

The strong, comfortable outdoor fabric is weather, stain, and UV/fade-resistant, breathable, and designed to last for years to come. And the durable, high quality aerospace-grade aluminum frame is naturally corrosion-resistant.

Plus, the premium carrying bag is reinforced in all the right places to keep performing over time.

 

 

 

The True Places Folding Chair has bottle openers under each arm, a cupholder and phone holder that can go on either side and hooks for the carrying bag and more. The chair also features large feet for stability on any surface!

 

 

 

The carrying bag is made of recycled polyester constructed from landfill and ocean-bound plastic bottles. Plus, not only is the aluminum frame lightweight, it is also endlessly recyclable

 

 

We’re a team of entrepreneurs, designers, engineers and dreamers from across the globe. We ventured out on our own after decades of experience creating and building products and brands for some of the biggest companies in the world.

More importantly, we’re also dads, moms, kids sports team coaches, concert-in-the-park lovers, and just hang-out-with-the-neighbor-outside-the-house enthusiasts. We came together to start True Places because we realized that all these moments just outside our doors are a huge part of our lives and the best times to connect with family and friends.

But the things we use and take with us feel like they’re stuck in the dark ages – low quality, uncomfortable, easily broken and not in line with who we are or how we live. With our backgrounds in product innovation, we knew we could do better. Our founders Nelson and Ben partnered with some of the best industrial designers, engineers and manufacturing experts around the world, and after thousands of hours of researching, designing and experimenting we can’t wait to share the first results – the True Places Folding Chair –  with you, wherever your true places may be.

 

Nelson and Ben have a combined 30+ years experience in product innovation and brand development. We spend so much time outdoors with friends and family and we couldn’t get the idea out of our heads that what we used in those situations wasn’t great. We knew there had to be a better way. After years of thinking about it, we finally made the leap to make True Places happen.
