Story

PoleX Gear, an outdoor small business built around our love of the great outdoors. Combined we have nearly 40 years of manufacturing experience and a wealth of outdoor experience. Our goal is to provide products that will expand your love of the outdoors.
With the increase in trekking pole usage we desired to provide a unique experience for the outdoor community. Trekking poles are typically either carbon fiber or aluminum, both providing their own strengths and weaknesses. We wanted to provide a pole which combines the best of both worlds, a hybrid pole. Our pole, Lightfoot, has a lower aluminum segment and two carbon fiber upper segments. This configuration provides the weight of carbon fiber poles but the lower durability of aluminum, where carbon fiber lowers often come up short.
Your contributions will help PoleX Gear continue to expand our footprint in the outdoor market, bringing a very unique trekking pole setup to a growing market. We understand that without our customers, we don’t have a business. We are eager to grow with our community and provide products that will make a difference.

We are seeking to raise $75,000. How will your contributions be used? Simply put, expanding and growing our business in the following areas. The raised contributions will first and foremost be used to acquire a decent stock of our Lightfoot trekking poles. This will allow us to compete in the trekking pole market. Secondly, these funds will allow us to purchase injection molds for our other products. This is a pivotal point in our business, we need to expand inventory and drive down costs to compete in this industry.

Stage 1 – $35.00 – PoleX Gear hat.
Stage 2 – $100.00 – LightFoot trekking pole package.
Stage 3 – $125.00 – Lightfoot trekking pole package and PoleX(used to provide photographers/hunters a stable platform, center pole for small tents and keeping your poles secured.) a trekking pole accessory.
Stage 4 – $150.00 – Lightfoot package, PoleX and our PoleX Gear hat.
We will only accept your contributions if we reach or exceed our goal of $75,000.

Trekking poles are an ever growing tool in outdoor adventures. Poles provide nearly 20% reduction in leg fatigue during usage. Weight and durability should be core functions of trekking poles, Lightfoot is doing just that.
We are driven to provide even more exceptional products for the outdoor community. Without your contributions, growth and innovation will be difficult.
