Phew!.. What a year it has been.. 

We can all agree that 2020 has been pretty rough for all of us around the world. Since the start of the year, we have heard news of homes being destroyed, loved ones being separated, even people losing those who they hold dear. Everyday we are fighting for our voices to be heard, even amidst our struggles to make ends meet.

Truth be told, we all walk many different paths in life and we each have a story to tell.

2020 is coming to an end and although it might not be is far from all sunshine and rainbows, we believe that life will get better.

Come what may, we are all in this together.

Here at Usual Suspects, we believe everyone has a voice and even when things fall apart, there is always a new day, a new chapter for us to start again. The toys we create are a manifestation of our inner voices and hope, which we believe will be something that others can resonate with.

That is how Usual Suspects was birthed – every toy is a metaphor of what our world looks like today.

‘Suspects Series’ is a series of designer toys which represent what we have been through in 2020. Each toy has its own unique character and seeks to encourage that tough times don’t last but tough people do!

Suspect 01 (also known as ’01’) is the origin of all toys that exist in Usual Suspects. An alien from outer space, 01 chanced upon planet Earth while circling around in space and decided to stop by Earth to study mankind.

Through its observations, 01 took an interest in mankind and decided to collect data that revolves around positivity.

These data is then developed into toys which will work together with 01 to spread kindness and awareness of unheard voices.

Suspect Mask represents every single one of us who is affected by the pandemic this year.

As the pandemic worsened, it became inevitable to wear a mask for long hours when we are out on the streets and even during work.

Despite the hassle from wearing a mask, Suspect Mask serves as a reminder to be a responsible individual who plays a role bigger than himself/herself and to protect those around us, especially those whom we hold dear to our hearts.

Suspect skull is the best representation of who we are – that beneath our skin, we are made of strong, tough bones. This common feature unite us in our humanity despite all the outward differences we may have.
Even if life seems bad and challenging on the outside, we can find it within us to overcome the odds, celebrate life and live out our destiny!

Suspect Dino represents the silver lining of hope. Amidst the tough times in 2020, acts of kindness, love and comfort have emerged around us.

Many a times when we are on the verge of giving up, Dino speaks of courage to hang on and reminds us that hope is not extinct. ✨

At the end of the day, we love giving back to community as people matter to us greatly.

We will continue to spread kindness and impart knowledge using our website and social media platforms. It’s a long road but we are excited to embark on this journey! We want to leave behind a better world.
