  3. Presented by Kapok Knot and Vegan Fashion Week™, two brands that care about people, the Earth, and animal welfare

  4. Japanese quality, service, and efficiency. Our products are ready to be produced in your choice of color and size

  5. Loved by more than 1,700 customers around the globe and more than 50,000 geese saved from being harmed

Introducing “Vegan Haori Jacket”, the world’s most cozy and stylish vegan jacket made from plant-based fibers

You can rock this jacket whether you need warmth and comfort while reading a book at home or going out for a drink with your friends. The “Vegan Haori Jacket” will give you comfort and style wherever you are.

Goose Approved

Kapok Knot’s Ethical Down Kapok™ sheet is the future of not only cruelty-free fashion but also gives you the ability to have down warmth with less puff.
In our survey of 30 geese*, the results were unanimous that they prefer you wear a jacket lined with plant fibers instead of their feathers, especially if the warmth and comfort isn’t compromised.

*When questioned, we assumed they were honking with approval. No geese were harmed in the survey

While staying true to the look of the traditional jacket, the “Vegan Haori Jacket” updates it with its lightweight plant based down that is warm, fashionable, and sustainably made.

Kapok Knot’s Vegan Haori Jacket will showcase a fashionable and sustainable option as you look to bring a little bit of your cozy home when venturing outside.

Commercializing kapok has been a challenge for many because of its short fibers. Through many years of research and development, Kapok Knot has successfully innovated kapok into thin sheets that are easy-to-sew, breathable, and as warm as a traditional down. They are called “Ethical Down Kapok™”

Look at how fluffy and soft the kapok fibers are!
It’s 1/8th of the weight of cotton because they are so hollow

Because of the hollow fibers, kapok is breathable. It absorbs moisture while transforming that into heat, or warmth. Excess moisture is let out so you don’t have to worry about mold forming.

By combining recycled polyester to our kapok fibers, we invented “Ethical Down Kapok™”. Made with kapok fibers and recycled polyester, our Ethical Down Kapok™ are 5mm thin sheets that are easy-to-sew, breathable, and as warm as a traditional down. With this insulation, we are able to produce lightweight AND warm jackets that are ethically made and sustainable.

Kapok is a fiber grown from trees. Meaning that we don’t have to cut down any trees and we can keep harvesting them.

We partner with a kapok tree farm based in Indonesia. If we’re able to grow the kapok business, we can help our Indonesian community grow their economy and stay eco-friendly.

Vegan Haori Jacket Features

  1. So comfortable that you forget you’re wearing a jacket

  2. Our insulation is filled with kapok so it’s lightweight and warm

  3. Ethical, sustainable, and vegan fashion

Our Ethical Down Kapok™ sheet is the key to producing lightweight and warm jacket. While our jackets are as warm as traditional geese down jackets, the weight of each jacket is different.

  • Traditional geese down jacket = 1 kilograms or 2.2lbs
  • Vegan Haori Jacket = 700 grams or 1.5lbs

Our Vegan Haori Jacket weighs about as your pillow or a one bunch of bananas.
