My passion for family restaurants began when I moved to Rome, Italy with my mom. As a kid some of my favorite times were spent at Mimo’s, a small family owned restaurant down the street from our house. We would spend hours at dinner every night talking with the family owners, laughing, meeting new friends and eventually making life-long connections. I learned at a young age that restaurants have always been a gateway for connection.

     Rome is also where my passion for preservation began. It didn’t matter how old, dilapidated or useless a building seemed, it was part of their history and deserved to be protected. When we moved back to Phoenix I began to feel the same way about the limited amount of historic properties we had left. I would sit and imagine bringing them back to life, wondering what they once were, or what they could be. For me the latter was always clear. A family restaurant. 

WHY I AM ASKING FOR YOUR HELP

     We knew restoring a 100 year old warehouse downtown for Via Della wasn’t going to be easy but it was important to us. What we didn’t expect was what would happen to the world as we put everything we had into this dream.

Unfortunately, we were unable to qualify for any relief because we hadn’t yet opened our doors. We are asking for your help in hopes it will help us cross the finish line.

Together with my friend, Frank Pinello, I promise to bring Phoenix a pizzeria that means more to us than great pizza.  Via Della stands for: 

 Community, Preservation, Family and Tradition.

 Frank Pinello, host of Vice Networks “The Pizza Show” and “A Frank Experience” is teaming up with us to bring his world famous pizza to Via Della. With millions of fans spanning the globe, Frank’s vast experience and magic touch are going to make Via Della a place we will all be proud of.

 OUR PIZZERIA

Via Della is located in an area quickly becoming known as Downtown Phoenix’s Music District. With The Van Buren, Arizona Federal Theatre, Crescent Ballroom and countless office buildings around us we will work hard to be everyones favorite lunch and late night neighborhood pizzeria.

On our Menu will be Frank Pinello’s World Famous Wood Fired NY Style Pizza Recipes, fresh Salads, fresh Sandwiches, Wings and Homemade Treats!

OUR MISSION

Our mission is to provide our community with a safe, friendly, inclusive neighborhood Pizzeria. We realize that none of this would be possible without them. With that said, it is also our mission to do more than that. A portion of every dollar we make will be donated to organizations who provide Mental Health resources to those in need. We have all been impacted in one way or another when it comes to this epidemic. Tragically, Via Della lost one of our partners and best friends last year to mental illness. It’s extremely important to us that we do our part to pay it forward in his name and make sure there are always options for those who need them most.
