My Story

• Hello! Allow me to introduce myself! My name is Lucia Taylor, and I am a 21-year-old filmmaker, based in Pittsburgh PA. I have had a passion for film since I was a child. From making home movies with my siblings, to creating 300 hundred videos on my YouTube channel, called ‘Taylor Treasures Productions,’ I have always loved the whole process of filmmaking. It is truly my biggest passion in life! Currently I have several short films under my belt, and I am ready to begin my journey onto my first feature film…

• Good quality films, with wholesome and thoughtful messages, is what I want to achieve with my small production team. I believe entertaining and captivating films can be made, without adding explicit content and I fully intend to prove that through my own filmmaking style and original scripts, such as the film I am making this campaign for.

Extreme violence or explicit content does not have to be in a film, to make it a good film.   Our Budget

• The complete budget is $65,000 and below is a simple pie chart, showing how much of the budget is going into each area of the production. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have about my budget! 

• If I don’t reach my entire funding goal; I will revamp this film to be a condensed version, as to lower the budget. It may not be my full vision, but it will still be of the highest quality. I WILL make this film, one way or another. 
  • $65,000 may sound like a lot for a film, but the truth is, there is a lot that goes into making a film. From the cost of paying cast/crew, to providing food and safety. There is also payroll, insurance, props, costumes, location rentals and more. It quickly adds up to a large lump sum. I understand if you are unable to donate, but if you can and do donate, I appreciate you more than you can know. It means so much to me that you would even take the time to read over my campaign, even if you aren’t able to give any money. Thank you so much!

Challenges

There are always obstacles with a film, especially low budget. 

• After being fully funded, my plan is to complete production within six months (not including pre and post) but the truth is, I cannot guarantee that timeframe. I will be working with a crew that has other full-jobs, and I will have to work around those schedules. Rest assured that the film WILL be completed, but it may take longer than I can currently predict. Thank you in advance for your patience!
